Hi all,
i keep hearing people talking about Jail breaking there Iphone, so it unlocks a lot of the settings an you can fully personalise it. i'm really tempted to try it with my one. and just wondered if there is anyone else on here that has done it.. and if you have found any advantages of doing it, or have you done it, and regretted it?
Have my iPhone 4 jail broke since the day I got it and IMHO its a crap phone unless you do it.
Can't change many settings on it, to make it your own unless jail broken, I have my own ring tones ,text tones. and email tone.
Jail breaking your iPhone is perfectly legal ,just goggle it and see ,it;s the cracked apps and stuff that's illegal.
Also have different colour backgrounds and bubbles for text messages as the ones that come with it are pants.
Oh and if it's jail broken you can get mostly every app for nothing as you can install cracked apps and games on it, but of course I would never do that rolleyes
The only non tethered jail break that is out is for 4.3.3 firmware.
Apple has put out two new firmwares one after another 4.3.4 and 4.3.5 which have no extra features for the phone, their only reason for these releases is no more than a security update, aiming to patch issues with certificate verification, which people were using to jail break their phone from a website.
The jail breaks that are out at this minute only do tethered jail breaks which means that every time your phone "battery dies" you need to reattach it to a pc in order to get the jail break again.
Most people wait for the untethered break so the phone always stays in jail break mode.
Has Ronnie Biggs got one?
He's good at jail breaking but it seems they don't last forever....

He was released from prison about two years ago on compassionate grounds as he was 'about' to die.
He probably keeps up the pretence in public, but dances the nights away in private!
