Legendary children's TV show Jim'll Fix It is making a comeback after 12 years, it has been announced.
Sir Jimmy Savile is to return with a new series on UKTV Gold.
The iconic show originally ran on the BBC from 1975 to 1994.
The new version, Jim'll Fix It: Now and Then will again make children's wishes come true.
But it will also have an extra element - the show will revisit people who wrote in to the programme all those years ago but were not chosen to appear.
Sir Jimmy will fix their original wishes, so viewers now in their 30s and 40s could find themselves meeting their childhood idols.
The six-part show will also feature a series of guest presenters alongside Sir Jimmy.
Channel boss James Newton said the programme would "bring a new spin to an old favourite".

:giggle:
So come on ... who wrote in and what did you ask for?

I've still got my Sarah fixed it for me badge that Marms made for me, off to find it
lol
a friend and I back in junior school, were going to write to St Jim, asking to have a look around the factory of the manufacturors of certain type of steam powered toy... for the life of me I can think of niether the manufacturors or brand or what!
But you know the kind of thing.. steam engines, various kinds, burning meths and liable to explode in ya face if you havent already set yourself, or your nieghbours house ablaze.
We were obvioulsy hoping to get a bunch of freebies after being shuffled past Jimmie-Boy... as Im sure most kids were...lol
but.....
we didnt have any envelopes!
would those things still be considered safe for children these days?
>the steam thingies, not the envelopes<

I wrote to Jim asking for a flight in a Spitfire when I was about thirteen.....Still waiting Jim.
If you read this, (as we all know, your a big fan and avid poster on SH) its never to late.
Whenever I think of Jim'll Fix It (besides not getting the Spitfire gig!!) I always picture the group of scouts trying to eat their packed lunches whilst on a rollercoater (I think it was on the opening credits?)
Harry
redface I have no imagination, honestly it takes me age's to order when we eat out and then I simply have what I always have. So as a child I could never think of anything to ask Jim for except what had been featured on previous shows
