More importantly why is it called Dogging?
I had a Dog once and I am 99.9% certain it never snuck out the front door at midnight to go down the woods and watch other Dogs and Bitches have sex.

Dogging has for long meant "following someone around". So that soon became following couples around and peering into their cars to watch them have sex. So the men standing around and peering, often while wanking themselves, are the doggers. The couples being watched are therefore "dogees". Used more losely "dogging" at some stage came to be used generally for any kind of outdoor sex in public places.
What's in a name, so long as people treat each other with respect and don't get greedy about their wants?
