Just had another thought - if this sunburn of the nose really does exist, it could explain the absence of one of our SH regulars in here lately - it's been very sunny in Leeds. :uhoh:
Only if the skin on the inside of your nose contains whatever pigment it is in the rest of your skin that reacts with UV sun rays. Possibly. I'm not a dermatologist, so my answer is so far from difinitive that it may not be worth the paper it's not written on. Ummm...
anyway depends how big the nose is surely
I reckon it depends on how big your nose is and what angle the nostrils are.
If in doubt, get a friend to look up your nose and check
thought this was a very interesting question so i checked it with a friend who is a dermatologist:
the inside of your nose does not contain any melonin so you cant get a tan however it is light sensitive and you can get it sunburnt.
hope that awnsers it
Ok then, blame him, it's his fault he made me do it.
Here's how to protect your nose...
Just making a quick visit to the cafe and I see this!!
Why would anyone WANT to do this - unless a very large bet was involved?
Oh yes, by the way Marmalaid my wireless network thingy is working now - you were right! Thanks.
I was going to say that you could put Factor 30 up yer nose and you'd then have ablocked nose, but having seen what just went before - I don't think I will.
