do we really need more people in this country? government tells us were living longer,so gotta work till 66 and possibly and kids having enough jobs for everyone,not enough housing,sometimes we've had food & water doesn't seem to be enough british tax payers to support the unemployed etc. so why are we encouraging young people to have children? now if they had to bring up their children and house them without tax payers assistance maybe they may think to use contraception,not just the pill also a condom to help stop sti's etc.

I hear you about kids and teen pregnancies.
Immigration however is a touchy subject.
I moved here from South Africa six years ago to look after my mother in law when my father in law passed away.
So you can look at it as two tax payers added to the country, who are not allowed any benefits except the NHS, to look after one OAP.
It's the other side of the same coin, isn't it?

im sure ben and staggers can come up with an obscene reason as to why this is right as unfortunately common sense no longer prevails

i was pointing out others that would have a different opinion to that of mine and probably the op
staggs took it graciously and obviously agrees that there was no malice meant by his comments after. which by the way made me chuckle
but if i was pointing out someone who just wanted to argue a different point of view for the sake of it because of who was posting then you might have been on the list as i proved in two other threads some time back

Depends how you read things I suppose dunnit GnV? Occasionally it almost looks like some people are playing a beautifully measured game whereby if they drip, drip, drip enough within the AUP, someone else might get sick to the back bleedin' teeth of it eventually and bite down hard enough to launch themselves headlong over the line into a ban?
Can't imagine why someone would ever be intent on playing that particular game? It would really be quite sad of them though if they were, wouldn't it?
