:P Is it just me or are there not enough lady's top-shelf temptations available for us girlies to peruse too?
I know there's a bi-monthly one (no, sadly not even close to what you're all thinking right now either - bi -monthly - every two months) about to come out this month *saw it on Richard & Judy* but it's not top shelf.
To me it seems men's top shelf tittilation reveals woman in all her beauty, barr the American shots, you know, all opened up. I've nothing against that mind, and hey good news guys, boundries are being pushed, not long now wink
But for us ladies it seems the ERECT penis is still a no-no as far as top-shelf decency goes. Or am I just not looking in the right place for it?
As much as I like perving at men in tight boxers, or nothing at all come to think of it. I don't want to *just* see the flaccid old boy. Does nothing for me really, it just hangs there like an old chicken with a wrung neck. I wanna see him standing up PROUD and TALL.
biggrin
Any of ya ladies wanna add what you'd like in a ladies top shelf mag?
Do it now while the reporters are a sniffin'.
Murdock the next financial opportunity is..... rolleyes
I've got it in my head you need to be a licensed sex-shop to sell pictures of erect penises. No idea where I got that from so no guarantees it's correct, mind... sad
Still, if it's erect penises you want, have a look here...
I got one over the net which I would say is for both sexes, definately not only aimed at men. I got a free copy from their website then it is quite reasonably priced to subscribe mail order, I think it's only bi-monthly though. Am I allowed to name it here?
:P Cheers for that Roger
but I still wanna buy my *top-shelf* from the newsagents like men do lol
Oh, and one other thing....
Mark, we've got the wanking emoticon, now where's the one for us girls wink
Remember one called Ludus or something like that - but Roger is right - it is illegal in this country to show an erect penis!!!!
i would like pictures of girls personally - i see nuff erect penisis in the shape of Daz and the male half of a couple we see fiarly reguarly - i would love a magazine for bi girls - sexy but with a tasteful theme, lol!
Libra - looks to me like you've hit on the idea that could make you millions!

I thought this was true only if the classification was one that allowed the magazine to be sold in a corner shop. Top shelf mags are not the same classification as those in the sex shops that can show an erect penis......saw it on TV.....erm honest.
There is a womans mag that is Bi monthly but the name has gone out of my head. The boss buys it from the top shelf but can only get it miles from her home town. Nothing to do with being shy but they just don't stock it around near her. I think its called For Women or something like that.

Legally, erect penises are not allowed for general sale UK publications, but thannks to a free-trade agreement, they are ok for American imports, so you'll see hard boy/girl shots in newsagents that carry the likes of "Fox", "Swank", "Hustler" etc, provided you get the real American versions - which is getting easier now the british reprints are so edited to hell that no-one wants them!
OK well a few people have mentioned names of mages so I will say the one that I got online, it's called Desire magazine and I think it's pretty good, includes some full sex pics with erections and naughty stories.

You do realise that you will now be bombarded with offers of PM's with cock shots!
PS PM on way to you wink
If you want hard ons why not just buy gay men's porn, or am I missing something here? redface . Is there really a difference for porn aimed at men or women? I feel I should know the answers to these questions, but I really don't surprisedops:
Yes, there is a difference. I personally LOVE gay porn.
But
If i was a conventional, socially acceptable, mainstream, generalisation of a British woman (ha), who was looking for some top-shelf stimulation, gay porn would not do it for me. The erect penis would/does.
Okay I'm looking for a marketing opportunity here
Er, correct me if I'm wrong but hardcore porn mags are now available from the top shelf in newsagents that care to stock such material. This is because of a European ruling that says it IS YOUR RIGHT to view such material as it is an expression of human sexuality. I think it matters not whether the material comes from the USA or within the EU. I'm sure that I have seen European publications being sold sold in newsagents since this law was passed.
Not sure about what publications are available for women, but I think many women have enjoyed looking at hardcore as much as men have, despite what we have been told that women don't enjoy such material. However if you don't want this then you could do what a lot of women have done in the past and buy gay mens porn, cause that often has erections in it!

:P Nope. Read answer to Blue. If I was that woman, looking for that kinda female orientated porn I want to find it on the newsagent's top shelf, and if there is no UK female orientated porn of the kind, well hey, as someone said up there ^ ^ ^ Cha-ching! lol

I think there is a myth about male and female orientated porn. This is a nonsense! Most women I know enjoy hardcore porn. Men and women enjoy the same things and are just as turned on by the same things. You are not finding any 'female ' orientated' porn on the top shelf simply because this is a marketing ploy by publishers that never really took off! I do not see any reason why porn should be aimed at men or women, we all enjoy sex. The only difference is in tastes and this has nothing to do with being a man or a woman. Some people like vanilla sex and others like chocolate! I repeat, men and women both enjoy porn, though I must admit some of the production values have become better over the years and a little less sleazier, which may appeal to some women, I suppose. But then again that kind of porn has become too polished and lost it's edge, such that people much prefer the amateur porn which is once again a bit sleazier but more exciting for all that! So what appeals to people is all a matter of taste and nothing to do with being male or female.

yeah i looked at my gay mates mags and they were superior to what is aimed at women .(excuse the pun)

Apprantely marketing has shown that women are more turned on by erotic porn in the form of stories/boosk - wheara men are more turned on by sharp visual porn - henc ethe marketing of porn mags to men and "erotic" books to women.
Personally I get very turned on by visual porn - but it is a quick turn on. Books do tend to keep me lingering longer!
Quote by yamahaR1
that aint true my missus hated 'anal gapers3 ' lol

Like I say it's a matter of taste. I'm sure there are plenty of men who wouldn't care for that type of porn either!

oooooooo just thought
if i have to look at porn ....i prefer stories they turn me on much quicker than a picure of a naked man
if you seduce my mind you seduce me

Yes. I am aware of this, however I think it is another myth. I think both men and women can be turned on by words as well a visual elements or porn. I think this idea about womens preference for pornographic reading material is more a conclusion based upon a historical preception of womens consumption of porn i.e word based material. This is because women in the past (and I mean not so very long ago, like the past 30 years until very recently), were not supposed to express and interest in 'men's' porn as it was seen to be 'degrading' of women as defined by the feminist movement of the time. Reading material was considered to be less 'offensive' and 'expolitative. Hence this idea of 'womens' porn arose eventually as it was suposed to express a different sensibility to 'mens' porn. However porn values vary from production to production and there is now way you can define that one production is aimed at men and another at women, as what is a turn on is very, very subjective and personal. I have heard that men are supposed to be more turned on by visual stimulus, indeed I am myself, however I have found that women are just as turned on by visual material as much as men are.

I quite agree, sex is all in the mind. The brain is the the most important sex organ you have! And words are so powerful, but so are pictures.

Yes - as I said - I AM - but written porn lingers longer and has more of a "foreplay" aspect for me. Gets me wetter and wetter. Wheras visual "male orientated porn" gets me into "quick shag" mode quickly - but doesn't llinger.
Neither is "better2 than the other - they just produce differnt results. And yes - as society seems to dissaprove of females just going fo rthe "quick shag" your argument is very valid.
Depends what you're looking for. Before the renovations there used to be a little newsagents just up from Kings Cross Station (heading towards Pentonville) that had wonderful packs of magazines in sealed plastic.
OK - they were foreign with names like Night Society, Extasy, Erotyka and Cats - I think they were Polish - but they had some great 'full-on' photo shoots - to appeal to every sexuality.
Pity yer couldn't read the stories rolleyes

Quite, I agree. Each to their own and I can find words very stimulating as much as pictures. I can understand your use of reading material. People use materials in different ways and I believe this has nothing to do with the sexes. Sometimes you can use visual porn to just get off quickly, other times it may be part of a longer session. However, the original poster was wondering where all the 'top shelf' magazines were that contain 'hard ons' and are aimed at women. The conclusion I am trying to come to here is that there are none simply because the idea that there should be 'male' and 'female' porn is a nonsense, as what turns people on is subjective and not defined by whether you are a man or a women. Only because of historical and social reasons have men and women had different 'reading' material and this also extends beyond porn. However today this has changed to a large degree as men and women both enjoy visual porn as well as audio and reading material. The market is open to all and I believe that we have the choice as to what we watch, read or listen to, depending on taste and subjective preferences.

BlackCat Babe's recollections of her Pentonville Road shop triggered a memory of mine of once seeing a mag when I was a kid in the 70's,daringly picking up a "The Journal of Love " in a London shop - this title continued for years - maybe still does - but this was,as my folklore memory recalls, really beautiful stuff back then with erections, penetrations etc that just looked real, like real people having sex - it was prior to the yawnsome ressurgence of so-called "Lad Mags" ,the page after after page of X-rated phoneline ad's and the tedious formulaic American domination that we see today.
Its clear that something created with a female bias/view could give us a healthy liberated alternative to the rather UNsexy porn that floods the current market.
Come on Libra - get cracking girl! wink

I would be dubious about beleiveing marketing, polls and surveys as there are a lot of women mostly with boring husbands who just put what they think men want to hear, a read through Nancy Friday's" My Secret Garden" will ilustrate my point. I read it 2 years ago. Way before it's time. I'm not even sure we are ready for it now. Read it girls it will make you go Phew! even if you dont admit it.
