Firstly let me say this is something thats been puzzling me for ages & is not a p**s take or meant to put anybody down, it is just something as a male i dont understand.
Whilst perving the porn sites(as you do), i have noticed that in a lot of the lesbian shots, they are using strapon dildo's. I should imagine (imo) that the answer is quite simple. If a woman doesnt find men attractive sexually, she still wants to have sex. So the toys are the option she chooses.
Although im sure someone with a bit more knowledge/experience than that will be along soon to enlighten you a bit more.

I'm going to stick to one side of the answer here "Why do women like receiving a strapon?" because my reasons for wearing one are far too complex!
Speaking from my own experience some women like to feel something inside them and others do like that it can feel similar to a cock.
