It certainly is.
Wonderful photography & research.
lp
I have seen similar programmes but the photography here is simply stunning.
It is better in HD, simply breathtaking indeed.
I have watched the first one and will watch the second one tonight. The commentary is awesome too.
Its a fantastic programme...
Something I have no objection to my license fee going towards
Maybe it's just me, I haven't watched it. I got bored with seeing sensationalised life on earth programs several years ago. Now show me a series about the geological workings of the planet and I'm there. Even if it covers stuff I already know.
Fluff I have also seen those other ones you are talking about, but this one really is a cut above the rest.
Not the kinda stuff that normally yanks my chain but I will have a look. Ty for the heads up,
Certainly was beautiful stuff!
It is a stunning peice of tv, like all of David Attenboroughs programmes they simply arent to be missed.
I`ve also been enjoying "Last chance to see" with Steven Fry, its been a really good series
I absolutely love this program! It's truly amazing how they film close up shots of the animals and catch things at the right time!
I do love the behind-the-scenes bit at the end too. It's unreal how committed the animals are of their young, when they hide their eggs to protect them from the food chain...so to speak.
Such a fantastic insight into animals and creatures u never would ever come across in this country. Love it!!
Kenty - I'm forever saying at close-up slow-motion shots "That would look awesome in HD". I so envy u! :lol2:
kiss

I'm watching that too - the camera man must have been terrified in there with them.
And Mrs Whale is 50 and looking to breed. Go girl!!!!!
Gora agree with this,
it's an awesome program, but David Attenborough in
my opinion, cant b beaten on these programs.
Long may he live.!!

Strange fetish......... rolleyes
I'm sorry, it was just another nature program to me. Albeit with some flashy camera work and many many hours of persistence in evidence. I obviously have something missing in my make-up confused
I missed it and watched Murderland on STV...shite...Life on Sunday night again i think or did i just make that up??? I do hope so as it looks like i made another bad choice.... confused
Anything with David Attenborough is excellent viewing in my books worship
but I was working last night and forgot to record it again banghead
FAntastic and we just got HD so even better
must admit i liked the end bit best
Didnt like last week too many snakes.
Fabulous! this is what makes the licence fee worth paying and makes the BBC the best in the world!

Funny folk, us "oop north" smile
To get back on track......best programme on the box at the moment by miles. This is real "reality" TV.
Who will ever replace David Attenborough?
I remember you guys talking about it... so I watched it last night...
Simply stunning.... (you are all right about the HD by the way!!! lol )
that is public service broadcasting at its best.... its the type of show no one else makes....
It is really fantastic, how ever, I am not sure it would hold up on none HD tv, anyone seen it on standard tv?
