Does life really begin at fourty??
Three weeks to go lol Can't beleive it don't feel anywhere near
I would say more like thiry myself...thats when life got better for me!!
i am forty in september this year
scary
wish i was 18 again though
The naughty forties!
How can anyone not be looking forward to that one?
drinkies I'll be 39 again this year lol
I must be close to my second time around then lol
Dont worry about the approaching birthday - i tell u my life has been loads better since i turned 40! More confident, more sexy, more outgoing - im telling u its true so dont worry!
Speaking as someone who is well into 42nd year I don't feel any different to when I was in early 20' the end of the day age is just a number and if you worry about it you will feel your I attended functions at my sons school I was amazed how young I looked compared to all the rest and some of them were 10 years younger than me at the time. lol
30yrs was my worst birthday really dreaded it, shopped all day with my mate. 40yrs was a doddle couldn't have cared less. I think I was so comfortable with myself and who I was by then that age has now stopped being an issue. still feel and act like a twenty something though hump :bounce:
 xxx
So old I can't remember my fortieth birthday, but I'm having more fun now than I've ever had.
Age is just a number - it's all in the mind.
Great so Im 25 next month, does that mean I have to wait 15 years until my life gets interesting then?? dunno
Im afraid so matey
But just think if its been fun so far wahey lol
Life begins at forty as does nasal hair and the first signs of dementia. In my experience you can also begin to suffer memory loss..um... ......um ...........where was I again

Yes, and then you realise what a wide meaning the word, "interesting " has. confused
Speaking as a chap who is 45, I think its fair to say, you certainly develop a more laid back attitude with regard to what other people might think about you or your behaviour.
I found actually hitting 40 a little troubling, but I have this uncanny knack of turning my negative feelings around into positive ones. For me, life has just begun. I married for the first time 4 and a half years ago and my wife and I are expecting our first baby in July. Yippee!!
My wife is refreshingly candid regarding her views on sex with others and considers (as I do) it quite normal and healthy. We are yet to attend any clubs etc., but in her condition, its probably just as well.
So, as for the forties, embrace it and welcome it with open arms.
Love to all.

Ahh but your memory problem isn't to do with age it's to do with kids and you're still coming out of the "pregnancy brain" mode ... when you hit your 30's life take a turn for the better as you do actually feel old enough to have kids (unlike in your twenties when nothing actually feels like your old enough!).
And anyone can forgive you dementia .. you live with Chesn .... Steve ;) ;) ;) :bolt:

OOOh I like that kiss I love a good excuse
Funny this thread came up just as I was talking to a friend about us being nearly 40.
I remember my dad's friends talking about women in their 40s and how hot they were. I recently realised me and my school mates will be approaching that interesting ripe age in a couple of years' time.
It is strange, I don't feel old. Inside I am still the same young person I've always been.

Speaking as someone who is older than God, I intend to grow old disgracefuly......
Someone pass the duct tape I ran out of Viagra
40, no. Still a newbie then. Its got to be retirement when it really all pays off and you can let it all hang out. Bus pass, cheap tickets, can't wait.
There,s nothing wrong with being forty , you just get a differant outlook on life cool and you can tease you,re kids as they grow up because you,ve already been there , done that and bit the cherry lol rolleyes wink
ever since I was 20, I always promised myself that I would own a Ford GT40 on my 40th birthday. cool The fact that I thought I would be rich and famous by the time I was 35 helped. 8-) 8-)
Well blow me down with a feather, failed on both. banghead
Didn't stop me enjoying being 40. I am having a great time - a broader outlook on life - less inhibitions and definately more of a kid than I ever have been. :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

I've got 3 months to go and I can't bloody well wait for life to begin!!!
I thought life was going downhill till I found a lovely guy from on here! We are like a pair of 16 year olds at the minute lol   Oh the joys of having fun and not caring what anybody thinks.  When I was younger I had so many hang ups then the forties came along and I became so much more confident and isn't confidence sexy? I think so - so is humour, respect ......and somewhere down the line there is looks but it really isnt that important! Life is there to be enjoyed biggrin
