 Scary stuff... the fear factor... phobias...
So what are you afraid of? What is it that makes your flesh creep, gives you goosebumps, makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up? Which is the fear which sends you scuttling for your 'blue blanket' or a change of underwear? What form would your Boggart take and how would you repulse it with laughter?
Sappho xxx
I'm frightened that I'll never be able to get off here.!!!! banghead
Firstly...
WELCOME SWEETNESS...XXXXXX
Secondly i am not too keen on heights these days? Not afraid of falling, more hitting the floor???
Escalators - I HATE the bloody things evil
Heights are my number one fear and really cannot look out of a window if I'm any higher that a couple of story's. Could'nt face being out on a balcony or anything like that. If I watch anything like free climbing on the T.V. it makes my palms sweat.
An odd fear given that I work in the roofing industry, but fortunately for me its others that need to go up. I keep my feet firmly on the ground.
Would'nt touch a spider and have been known to ring down to reception in hotels if one appears so that they can remove it for me.
hi Has to be pot holeing would not want to be stuck underground errrrrrr!
Absolute worst has to be spiders ... not too keen on horses either "shudders"
Overcame a big fear of mine at the beginning of the year thanks to Morbius. I almost drowned 20 years ago and since then have only ever been in water a handful of times ... even taking a bath freaks me out at times.
Anyway we joined a gym at the beginning of the year and Morbius coaxed me into a pool and now I can swim about 2 lengths unaided and have no fear about getting into a jacuzzi.
I probably wouldn't swim if he wasn't with me but it's a huge fear overcome and I shook with fear and sickness for ages after it.
Hello Sappho wave
Are you teasing me by inching towards the 1000 posts milestone???? mad :x
So what scares me??? Most of you already know.................................................... Mushrooms!!
I have jumped out of planes and helicopters, abseiled down viaducts (head first, without safety lines) slept in a snake infested jungle and sailed a yacht in gale force winds at night without so much as a murmer. You show me a mushroom and I'm outa there!!! bolt
:uhoh: spiders!

wave Welcome back kiss
Anything with wings, six legs, and black and yellow stripes. (And yes, that does include an ex-RAF traffic warden on horseback)
Bees and wasps. The sound of them alone drives me into a state of utter panic. If I can't get it out of the window I have to kill it.
Sharks......I'm so terrified that I won't even go in any kind of open water just in case one got lost and has found it's way in there......I hate seeing them on TV as well.....

It's the eyes isn't it? Cold - unblinking - demonic.
Same thing with horses but their eyes have an added air of malevolent intelligence about them. The way I figure it, anything that tall that looks me straight in the eye is saying to me "Look pal, I'm ten times bigger than you and a hundred times stronger, and I'm not too chuffed about the idea of people sticking bloody great lumps of iron in my mouth, so don't piss me off, OK?"
SAPPHO!!!! Where you been?????
Spiders, wasps, freaky friends husbands/stalkers oh and Steves freaky ex!!

That and the fact one tried to kill me when I was three!
I lived in a tyde cottage next to a dairy my dad worked at. Every day when he came home from work, I`d shoot out of the front gate, and he`d sweep me up in his arms and spin me around (everyone say ahhhhhhhhhhhh)
One day I was playing in the garden and I saw my dad, carrying a calf, with the mother walking alongside. So, I shoot out the front gate screaming `daddy`, and the cow took one look at me and charged.
I remember every millisecond of the ensuing pursuit, including falling over, the cow towering over me, and my mum screaming, couldn`t hear mum screaming, due to the blood pounding in my ears, but I saw her. The cow had clambered into a raised garden to get me, I remember the farm workers trying to get her back out.
Needless to say I am scarred. Not good when I grew up in a farming household!
I can touch them, but I won`t walk through a field with them in............
Unless I have a big strong man to protect me! Several preferably!
Oh, and horses always try to eat me confused
Venusxxx
COCKROACHES !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ahhhhhhh bolt
I was engaged once to a woman I loved very much but she left me then a few days later she killed hersel, by throwing herself out of the hospital window. I was not around at the time. I was elsewhere, that is my problem, not being there to keep those I love safe. I love people now but I am not sure if I will be allowed to help them if they need me.
Sappho sweetheart!!!!!!!!! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

OK scary things
3rd place: Licking cardigans. Not so much a fear really, but will have me curling up like a crisp packet under the grill, and that's just seeing someone else do it (Sarge is still owed for that one, next time I see ya, gonna bite into a big juicy squishy mushroom, followed by a big chunk of beetroot  )
2nd place: Anything with more than 4 legs (excluding things like gangbangs!)
1st place: Anything to do with the supernatural. I can't even listen to things with kids singing hauntingly in. It really is a fear that has grown completely out of proportion.

Now I am intrigued, is licking a cardigan a tem for something that life under a rhubarb leaf has never exposed me to, or is licking a cardigan really licking a cardigan..........and why has anyone got a cardigan to lick.......I only thought you were allowed a cardigan if you owned a waffle type dressing gown  .........I need to know before I go out to play down the garden
Dave, tis anything woolly - although never seen it done to a sheep, but sure it would have the same effect.
Now go and find yourself yours or Mrs Davejs wooliest item - not her best cashmere, for crying out loud! rolleyes Then sit yourself down, don't do it standing cos your legs might give out. Right, now shove a load of it in your mouth!!
EEwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww disgusting!!!!!
There see what I mean! Now you can go back to your rhubarb leaf and never do it again!
MissChief - Teeth in agony and toes curled permanently confused
Can I just add that it is just woolly things, material comes a close second tho
Smooth things like the edge of bath tubs, sideboards, fridges, mantle pieces etc are quite ok cool

Unless it's 8 legs - Spiders are cool.
Is that weird, I don't like insects but spiders are OK?
I've tried the cardigan on my teeth and......nothing however when I put my teeth back in and did it again yyuuuukkkk !!!!!........your right misschief.........made my tongue go like fuzzy felt and made the roof of my mouth dry and tingly........not as bad as sherbert lemons which cut my mouth to ribbons but still 'orrible.
Hello again Sappho! Snakes do it for me - you just never know which way they're gonna go.
