When I grow up my Mummy says I'm going to be a proper little madam..... Clarks shoes..
I'm reminded of it everyday, if ever they want to do a remake of it I have the child here...
I really loved the PG Tips ads as well.... the "You hum it" one was just class...

You have to go back a long way to remember "Which cat is the grandmother?" (Kit-e-kat cat food)
Mike.
Lesley Crowther as Reginald Molehusband trying to reverse park his car - busses and taxis changed their routes to avoid him! lol
An absolute quality one was:
"I'll have six fousand creme eggs, Mister"
C'mon, own up..... how many of you actually pissed off the storekeeper by saying this ..... I know I did
Cadburys curly worly... I think it was terry of "terry and june" in a very child like voice... and he may have also done the jammy dodgers advert?
Oh and the shake and vac! "do the shake and vac and put the freshness back" God wasnt that wall paper and carpet just so 70's (said in a very camp voice) redface
Bud and the frogs.... most memorable because on a train to london with my lad there were about 30 pissed up guys and one beltched... followed by 29 guys all beltching the "burrrrdd-wuuurrrise-errrrrp" at which point my lad and most of the carrage almost wet themselves laughing and claping to such a great rendition.
Kiora......
It's too orangey for crows, its just for me and my dog..
I'll be your dog..

How could I have forgoten that one... I still say that every now and then... followed buy the obgligratory "rouf rouf roof roof."
the after 11pm dual ad for Haggen Das and Fosters...
really steamy scene in hallway ..horny couple splashing the Haagen Das all over each other and licking it off....justy when it gets down to the real nitty gritty the ice cream runs out and the guy goes to the kitchen for more...leaving his sultry girly licking her fingers in the hallway ...
he opens the fridge and its packed with Haagen Das...reaches for a tub and just happens to look up where 1 can of fosters is...
she's still in the hallway for some reason still licking her fingers.. she hears a can open...then the TV turns on with the theme music to match of the day....
she turns to the camera and says"DONT YOU JUST HATE IT WHEN THAT HAPPENS"
haagen das at its finest (think it was rum n raisin too)

I went to a 1977 Queens jubilee street party (Claremont rd ) dressed up as a Humphrey mug!!! I have a photo somewhere....
bloody hell... going to have to dig it out now... or ask my mum for it....
I think one of the funniest ones of more recent times is that one advertising the milk that's "so good, the cows want it back". Genius!
Not a funny one but I really liked the Guinness White Horses.
Both theTV add and the posters were good but it was most impressive in a cinema :!:
ohh i loved them smash men lol
my fave advert from years gone by was the cartoon one with the kid and his cat charlie, the don't go with strangers add that always started .....charlie says lol

The "Charlie says" ads, were in fact just 1 in a long line of public information films. I've been collecting these over the years off the net. There were about 5 or 6 of the Charlie films.
My personal fave of the public information films has to be the learn to swim one..
I wish.. I wish I didnt keep loosing me birds.. Then learn to swim young man, learn to swim.
Also good was the ones with petunia and her husband..
Theres a man out there in a rubber dinghy.. oh look, he's waving... cooee!
Cut to scene of man frantically waving for help biggrin

From a german Telly advert for various Knorrs sauces and soups...
*** Thread hijack alert ***
In the early days of Sky Analogue when you could get a lot of European channels I loved watching the soft porn on German shows. There was one show though that stands out that had German contestants that could score points by stripping and one of the catch phrases was 'Ching Ching'. I remember that a particular fruit usually adorned one of the breasts of the eye catching dancers/models.
Can anyone else remember this show... there was also a large bosomed dominatrix type lady also...
confused: :?: :?: :?:

Not quite sure, but I remember an Italian one (possibly, they all sound foreign to me) where they used to just strip and have the dancers flash their tits at the end
I think this mustbe included

but what I would prefer is the Dambuster's version, if I can find it, I will post it. lol

Wonderful, Jim, thanks! lol
Now taking this even more off track....
There are a lot of suposedly non-sanctioned adverts for products that only get released on the net (basically they are done by the ad merchents but released un-officially and get around the rules) like the ford car advert where the car chops the head of the cat and the other one where the cat gets caught in a cieling fan, lol.
