A new club has opened up on a trading estate near us and has been in the local paper as local businesses are worried about people wandering around late at night.
However that's not what this post is about.
When I pointed it out to the other half, she said, "there's no way we're going there, I might meet someone I know!" :shock:
I was just wondering, how close is too close, and how far is too far?
For me I would say a minimum of 10 miles to a maximum of 2 hours drive.

Surely they would be there for the same reason as yourselves, so can't really see that as an issue. Just out of curiosty where is this new club?
and what about if everyone local thinks...No Way..I'll go the one 20 miles away...yep thats right, you then meet your neighbour or work mate in that club. Whatever club you go to, likely to at sometime come across someone you know. Fact is it you are both there for same reasons, probably both as embrassed at first as each other, and hey who knows could lead to a nice freindly local meet !!!

our local club is 8 miles away and we go regular, have met neighbours there a work colleague of johns, lots we know. but then again i have done the same at other clubs as well that are 50 miles away. as said previously dont worry too much about who you see there its an adults environment and people generally behave as such
We used to live 30 seconds from Chameleons, just about right for us, now we have moved to Stoke on Trent and our nearest club (Atlantis Evolution and excellent) is a staggering 3 minutes away so we don't there as often as we would like ..... giggles
Chameleons being so close was to us, our local pub, we often went there just to socialise and make new friends without a thought for playing, we considered it "if Carslberg made pubs"

What if we bumped into the neighbours - who cares they were doing the same as us, the entrance was discreet and in truth if you live in the midlands and travel to Manchester to avoid local people you know you probably have more chance of bumping into them because they thought the same as you ........

We have used one of the local clubs (Romeos Bristol) Its a fair way over the other side of the city bout 7 miles. Not bumped into anyone we know as yet at any clubs though have been sent pics of people we know in messages Not that bothered about meeting people at clubs though couples are less concerning that singles. I know there are certain types of single who you could bump into who could quite happily share with people where they saw you so it became common knowledge. Swinging is never without risk and we have in the past had to deal with a single who had no qualms about spreading the word even though they said they would not.

that used to be the case for us but last year 1 opened 7 miles away .. a gay sauna most of the time but open every fortnight for swingers on a sat but with more use that could change to weekly
why not ask the gay saunas in your area if they would be willing to do the same
