I've just heard an ice cream van! It must be summer! :bounce:
A colleague and I were discussing our favourite childhood lolly ices the other day (we had started off discussing the semantics; being from Merseyside, we both say lolly ice rather than ice lolly, much to the bemusement of non-scouse chums! But I digress...)
We both favoured the lager and lime lolly ice. Remember them? Or cherry brandy ones? Or the Orange Maids.
What was your lolly ice/ice lolly lol of choice as a kid?

The Rocket - but slightly improved on by the Rowntrees fruit pastile lolly that had (has?) a delish blackcurrant bit.
But nothing beats a Magnum - have you noticed how much they have shrunk? And gone narrower at the top too. banghead
As a child our ice-cream van would sell ice-cream 'loose'. You took your pint pudding basin out and paid your 10 shillings or 50p and the nice man would swirl it full of Mr Whippy. And God help you if Mum saw a finger print in the ice-cream when you took it back in!!
a nice oyster with all that marshmellow in the middle

Not sure I should be posting that on here
;-)
Funny feet
I also used to munch blue (raspberry I think?) Mr freeze ice pops  at 5p each I could get 10 with my 50p spending money when I was 7, I would eat one after the other till my head went numb with cold. :uhoh:
When we were kids it was always cider lollys or if you had been good or it was a special occasion you might get a cornetto with a mint one always being my fave. As I got older and had pocket money of my own a feast would be my choice prefferably a mint one but they dont often have those sad Love mint cant you tell smile
Funny Feet! Lush.
And I'm with you on the mint Feast tweeky - yum!
jubblies mmm is it me or are they smaller now ... just like most things edible from the past (wagon wheels etc)
Toffee Crumble's!
The earliest favourite I remember is Orange Maid (the drink on a stick), but nowadays any Magnum will do for me.
