This brings back memories - I went to an adult cinema in Soho in the early 60s (think I was only 17/18). After I had been sitting there for a few minutes, an usherette came up to me and said "there is a cover charge of £x which entitles you to a free drink".
I cannot remember how much, but it was about half a days wages to me then and the drink was a half lemonade shandy that was mainly lemonade.
Still I was young and foolish in those days - now I'm old and foolish!
