Evening All,
I'm enjoying being on the site so far, but have noticed that there seems to be something of a swinging vacuum in the chat rooms. I have searched for couples and single females in London and there seems to be a fair few active Londoners around, but this isn't reflected in chat. The regional rooms always seem to have a healthy number of people in them, of all types. Do Londoners just not use the chatrooms? Do they use other regional chatrooms? Do the Londoners on SH know something I don't? Are they not interested in chatting to other Londoners? Are Londoners just boring? I'd really like to find out what people think, no matter where you are. Onwards!! lol
Hello and welcome! :welcome:
I'm not a veteran of the chatrooms, preferring to ply my 'trade' (so to speak!) here in the forum, however the best piece of advice I could give is open your own room! If you open it regularly, you'll probably generate a groundswell of London folk.
But do stay and play in the forum too! wink

Started up the "London Calling" chatroom (thanks for the excellent advice...), making a few new friends and even having a single fem join us in the room :bounce:

Great to hear. Even though not a Londoner myself, I am an avid chatter with a penchant for regional rooms so I will be checking in too (especially after going in earlier and seeing my latest fixation had been there already! redface innocent And yes the room is still running now in your absence, albeit quietly).
Just wanted to note that most regional rooms are suffering too - the ones you see thriving are rare examples of well-established rooms, and they attract users from wherever (and indeed a few Londoners - people just either follow their friends or the hottest cams). It takes a dedicated core which clicks well together to keep a room and conversation running... while a load of users just come in to watch and sit there quietly without ever contributing as much as a hello (persumably they don't have a free hand for typing?). Often enough, people starting local rooms are a little bit too self-serving, which can be alieanating for the users that don't fall in the desired category. It is good to see your relaxed attitude of simply creating a focal point - and it sounds like your effort has been well recieved!

Thanks Pebble, very kind words...
After opening the room, a couple of other single males joined and we all got chatting between us, them also keen to see and host a London room too. So, between us, there should be a London room most nights. I think we all realise it will take a lot of patience and not a little positive energy to make it a room all will want to pop into lol
Hope to see you in there soon
Dunno the answer as we won't meet Londoners lol
Oi, we met you Jed... socially... lol
London is certainly not the capital of the Swinging World it suffers by comparison to many other places in Europe. But it does have a very active scene. We found meeting couples in London on line much harder than going the club route. Alot of people in London can't accomodate so prehaps that's why the club scene is better for meets. That is just our experience, others may feel differently.
Paris has more clubs than we do in London and they are normally busy, but Germany can claim to have more clubs than anyone else, with several in Berlin and the surrounding districts. Additionally outside of the clubbing scene, they have a very active internet forum. The Germans go less for chat rooms, and just get on with it.
The Capital for Swingers in the world, rather than a city has to be Holland, and the area between the Dutch and Belgian borders, there are more amazing clubs here within two hours drive of each other than anywhere else in the world.
could be the londoners r hiding from u lol
most not looking for on here
as yr profile says...........

Yea but your not your average couple are you, I mean no matter where your located you SERIOUSLY travel, there is probably not a club in the UK you have not visited or have on your list to visit. Don't get me wrong, it's not a racist thing against Londoners, if we lived in London we would make the same statment about Northerners, it is just too far logistically for us to meet, add to that, we get loads of e-mails from couples in London talking about meeting but they never do and I understand why, we are too far away.
You were and exception and there have been others but in all cases we met because they had travelled up to visit Chameleons.
Meanwhile, looking forward to seeing you 3rd March, will have the kettle on wink
