Well, we have a four day weekend (in fact, two) and weather's been good so if that's not a reason to open the bar, I don't know what is (like I ever needed an excuse anyway! ).
Let me just run through what we have in stock:
In the fridge
Rose: White Zinfandel
White: NZ Sauvignon Blanc; Australian Chardonnay and Pouilly Fume (well, it IS Easter)
Beer: Grolstch and Turkish beer (yes, Turkish. Tried it in a restaurant the other day and was mightily impressed)
Spirits and mixers: Gin, Vodka, Bacardi and also tonic, soda and coke.
Also - Pimms and lemonade (of course!)
At Room Temperature
Red: Argentinian Malbec (2007); Rioja Gran Reserva (1996); Fitou (2004)
Beer: Hobgoblin; Marston's Old Empire; Titanic Summer Wreckage (best handled with care! )
Spirits and mixers: Lagaullin; Hennessey Cognac; Armagnac and LBV Port.
Tonight's house cocktail: Long Island Iced Tea (for those who don't know:- gin, vodka, bacardi, triple sec, tequila and coke). Delicious - but beware (have been getting into these again recently)
