Looks, wit, heart - pick two

I am curious - if you could only have someone with two of the three - looks, wit, heart - with the third attribute being absent... Which combinations are preferable to you, which are acceptable, which are out of the question?
What would you look for in a proper partner, what would you look for in a play partner?
For the purpose of this I'll define things as:
Looks - attractive appearance, whatever that maybe to you
Wit - intellect or intelligence, an interesting or pleasing personality
Heart - empathy, kindness, caring

I have been informed the macho version of this choice, as applicable to women, is "hot, sane, interesting/funny".
It's very easy for me - heart is the non-negotiable... I give a lot of slack but be self-centred enough and I won't want to know. What draws me the most is wit, I search it out and I am enamoured by it. Looks I can take or leave, is nice when it's there but not too bothered if other things are right. So my favourite category would be "ugly" (and I do believe the cliche that not conventionally attractive people often overdevelop their personality and general other charms to compensate). I am also susceptible to "mean", though I hate myself for it.

Wit and heart for me I have met many beautiful boxes adorned with ribbons and other such delights to make it a most desirable box but on opening the box and looking inside found nothing but bile...

me thinks I would go for heart 1st ...if it makes it beat faster, thats a good thing :smile:
2nd would be wit ...I am always drawn to people who make me laugh.
As it says on my profile ...The way to a womans heart is laughter and chocolate

I'll take Ugly > wit and heart.
If they can make me laugh then we'll overcome anything!
Heart second because I want them to care about the things around them but not too sensitive, I don't want them crying at the sunset!!
As for ugly well... my mother always said "The ugly ones are more grateful" lol

I have found that when I love someone they look better as well. If I have all kinds of negative emotions about them the person concerned looks more ugly. As for looks, they change over time but you don't find 20 year old bodies with mature minds in them, unfortunately! lol
As for a play partner I chose looks and heart - I could not fall for someone who bores me out of my mind, but play is always interesting (I just hate people being mean to me!) redface
