Go on then, predict what its all about  My prediction kind of happened but has passed already, here it is.
I predicted in about series 3 that final ending would centre around Desmond. I theorized that Ben would successfully kill Penny in revenge for Charles Widmore having Bens daughter killed on the island (Charles is Pennys father). Desmond (Pennys partner) would then travel back in time somehow as he did in the episode with Farraday. Once back in time Desmond would press the button in the hatch at the time the past him did not press it. Pressing the button prevents the release of energy that brought down oceanic flight 816. Therefore the plane never crash s so Lost in effect never happens. This would mean that Desmonds past self would probably never get to leave the island so it would be a kind of ultimate sacrifice. Penny lives as none of the events leading to her death take place but also Desmond never gets back to her.
This will not be the ending though for sure. Desmond is not down as a series regular in season 6 and Ben already tried unsuccessfully to kill Penny. So that my theory down the shoot, whats your?

Never watched !! Is it worth a look then ?

As I started the topic I would of course say yes. I am not a Lost geek i.e. I just watch the episodes once and dont revolve my life around it like I have seen some people on the Internet do. If you decide to watch you have a lot of catching up to do though. Five previous seasons and the new one is starting this week. One thing I will say is if you go for watching by DVD box set that could be a good way to go. We just watched season 5 on DVD due to Virgin loosing Sky 1 whilst it was aired  but it does make a lot more sense when you can watch one episode a night on DVD as theres quite a lot going on in Lost.
I watched the first series and some of the second then I lost interest. It all got a bit dull... can't actually believe they dragged so many series out of it.
I'm waiting for the mini-series of about 3 1-hour episodes.
I was curious about the background plot - were they put on the island deliberately and why, that kind of thing - but I'll wait for someone to watch the last series and they can tell me.
To be honest, when I realised it was going to be dragged, on I was annoyed by the blatant audience manipulation going on. Constant cliff-hangers to keep people 'hooked' with little or no real plot development just to keep the advertising revenue coming in.
I have no interest in the 'journey to knowledge' I just want to know the facts - now. I'm boring that way. Alien was the same - I never wanted to be intrigued by fuzzy, off centre shots of the creature - I wanted a full screen, in-focus shot long enough for me to work out exactly how it moved, etc.
<<<<<Goes back into the cupboard.
Oh, the prediction? There will be a spin-off starring the actors who didn't manage to get a decent deal on another project. dunno
Ohhhh we love this and are eagerly awaiting Friday when it starts again.
We watched the entire 4th series back to back and it's a great way to watch it but we can't wait for the whole series to air this time before we watch it.
I have no predictions really, I can't guess where they're going to go with it, but i'm looking forward to watching it from the beginning once we've seen them all knowing what is really going on.
