Theres a competition on a local radio station called Lost property and its driving me crazy trying to think of the answer. Can you help?
George micheal has left an item in the lost property office. What is it?
Here are the clues.
He doesnt take the bus ( maybe hes flying, walking, rail, tube)
You wouldnt think hed need one of these (dont know)
Overtake (pass)
A very prominent sport (football, cricket)
The opposite of non-entity (real)
The ultimate queue jumper (vip)
None for fifteen
From previous guesses the word pass appears in the item. The clues are sometimes cryptic so if your good at crosswords you may be able to figure it out. I cannot tell you if you are correct, until its figured out on the radio either by me or someone else but i will let you know, if we cant work it out.

Overtake - to catch up with in traveling or pursuit; draw even with: By taking a cab to the next town, we managed to overtake and board the train.
A very prominent sport
The opposite of non-entity - don't know other than it's opposite of something real!
The ultimate queue jumper

I'm guessing a rail pass.. don't know why! the Rail because it's slang also for a certain drug type.. dunno wild guess... probably way out of scope of things!

Thanks for the guess jaymar, i think it probably is a rail pass of some kind, but what kind of rail pass? dunno

is the word "pass" dfeinitely in the answer?

I like the rail pass idea, or if it wasnt't the bus or rail, he could walk, or go by foot, you pass in football, which is a prominent sport?
maybe lost his season's pass for the football? railway?

doing my head in!!!!!
prominent sport and queue jumper-----horses?
if not the bus, ten walking?----shanks pony?
opp of non-entity-----real?
what would george michael not need???--- a loan? a girl?
Got no idea, but a sore head now!
I reckon it'll be something to do with his past, his coming out, his being caught behind the wheel apparently high, his being caught in a cubicle something along those lines....
Will you let us know when you find out Louise? the suspense'll kill us!.. lol

I will let you know, its driving me crazy too.

I thought that, but this clue put me off:
'You wouldnt think he'd need one of these'

Theres definately a few more words involved in the answer.
A few guesses which have been partially correct were:
A VIP pass to a football club
A VIP pass to a George Michael gig.
A VIP pass to Madame Taussauds

Nor did I until I put rail into google dictionary and it tells you that rail is another 'slang' word for a certain drug, one which he is perhaps been caught doing? dunno
Trying to think outside the box here- "prominent sport", could that be a famous Aussie??
Dogging Map? dunno
Even more outside the box.
Googled Queue Jumper- thats what the Aussies call asylum seekers arriving by boat.
Two possibilities here.
1. Im on to something.
2. I'm talking bollox.
Boarding Pass
This has been bugging me all last night, any answer yet Louise, please put me out of my misery so I can think about something else today, thanks. biggrin

would have to be backwards cricket, you cant be none for 15, you can be 15 for none????
could it be a tennis reference 0-15?
and the words VIP and Pass are both definitely included in the answer.

Well i hate cricket anyway thats why i dont know much about it. redface but yes VIP and pass are definately in there somewhere. The latest guess a a minute ago was A VIP 25live tour backstage pass, and it was partially correct. I think my radios about to pack up  but then again the answer is worth £16,000.

Well all VIPs that went to the gig got a small picnic set in a little canvas zip bag. Maybe that is something to do with it?
