I have just sent allmy employees home because its a lovely day , they think im a loony but I do do this about five times a year
Am I mad or a good boss confused:
You're a selfish boss! You just wanna chill out yourself. Maybe you should think about your poor workers more before you take away their chores.
Get back to work!
lol
Fair comment exept I am the only one at work rolleyes
i'm here sat at home contemplating pulling a sicky...oh what to do......i loathe my job but doesnt everyone....i'm a drug councillor believe it or not....and sometimes i need drugs myself to motivate to get into work....where i have to look after 9 blokes either pissed up, on some serious class A's, or are just abit loony. i should have been in at 9am its now 5 past 9........................... cool
i think i'd like to go and work for warwick........do you need a drug councillor/alcohol worker at your place........................... wink

sing........3 is the magic number
Warwick - you are either the best boss in the world .......... or you've got someone coming round there to play offices
It's the second one isn't it isn't it! :bounce:- you're gonna play bosses n secretaries all day!
Hi,
I think you are a great boss Warwick smile btw did I tell you I am an IT professional too ? So if you need more employees to make up for the ones you send home wink
I would feign an illness and go home, but as I look around my deserted office I have come to realise that idea has already been overused.
Have fun wherever you are.
MISSCHIEF are you psychic?
It must be admitted that one of the reasons I am in such a good mood is because of last night :!:
Its such a cliche but she is absolutely wonderfull and single .. and why the hell has it taken us two years of working together to admit how we feel about each other confused:
Warwick.... Thats the best thing I've heard so far today.....Go for it... Its so nice to hear fo people being happy......Just look at the paper headlines and you will see what I mean.......NOT
Good luck
MikeO
Ta Mike Havent seen the papers ..dont care whats happening in the world today
Im just walking on sunshine cool
Nice boss indeed and well done that man.
Like Warwick I am also the boss, unfotunately I will be doing it the other way round and leaving early, whilst my employees have to stay. My excuse being that I work 120 miles away from where I live (which is just too far to commute if you dont leave the office until around 7pm) and have done, for three years which means living in a hotel Monday to Friday, so I figure the boss is allowed to go home early on a Friday to see his family. So gonna call it a day about lunchtime and leave them all to keep the place going.
Pouring with rain here as well in Huddersfield - got any drugs for me as well Nige? lol.
Mike.
well i am NOT the boss, no where near it, infact.... i am sooooooooooooooooooo far down the pecking chain here that i am actually burried underground!
BUT... i often allow myself to go home early.... and have even been known to award myself "playing days".
i guess its just one of the good sides of being one of only two fems in a totally male dominated place (and i must say.. i am the lovliest of the two!) wink
Warwick:
If your a good boss or a mug will be judged on
a) your staff turnover
b) the response you get if you ever need to ask your staff to work overtime at late notice
Personally Ive always found that giveing people time off when they need it or for things like a nice day are repayed 100 times over.
Weathers dull and misserable here!! Lets hope it improves for the weekend
Foxy it has to be said that in twelve years of running my own business not one person has left the company other than through retirement
Also when the crew have to work overtime no one ever complains
I firmly believe if you treat people right they will treat you right
warwick
I think your right in the vast majority of cases.
But beware , there is always one. In ten years of runing my own business I found her. Although we had treated her like a member of the family she decided to try and set up in competiotion and take a number of my customers with her. Didnt work but it still hurts.

MISSCHIEF are you psychic?

The answer to the question is "Yes" :!:
Warwick you're a lucky and a wise man - more power to your elbow. I work in the public sector and if I sent all my staff home there'd be an inquisition.
