When you were young did you have that overwhelming crush on someone, couldnt eat, sleep or talk about anything but them, only they had absolutely zero intrest in you. So you cursed, pined and regretted, UNTIL like me you saw them again after many years and OMG your dream princess has turned into the bag lady from hell (shes probably thinking the same about me, I know). Never wish to hard you might get it. Or have you met someone you've idolised from afar for ages only to discover that they are total assholes.
I was in a rock band touring the country with the major stars and had Many such experiences, most believed to much of their own PR...and your ''lucky escapes'' are...?
I had a crush in my teens on a girl. Tried forever to get somewhere with her. She kept fending me off with all sorts of complicated answers, which I obviously couldn't understand. Years later I met her. She looked fine but I just got this awful feeling that she still had huge problems under the surface.
I had a crush on a girl at college but she was about 5 years older than me. We got on well but I just couldn't make a move. Wish I had of, she was special.
Not seen her for 8-9 years, but I did see her younger sister in a photo shoot in FHM last year.....nevermind.
Got engaged to an Andre Agassi looky-likey when I was 17, he was doing his 2 years compulsary military service. One day his brother invited me to a wedding, I said I'd have to askxxxxfirst. Bro says, it'sxxxx's wedding  sad
Seven years later I bumped into him again. He was married with a little boy, I was seperated with a little boy (went back to the ex soon after, don't know why). We went to the movies together and and then back to mine to hump (yes, I knew he was married I :hump: him because I didn't care, and I could. He said he'd call me. I said, please don't :P
Phew...that was most definately a case of there but for the grace of God......
I was hitch hiking many years ago and got a lift off Fred West & his daughter!
Does that count?
I actually worked with Fred once on a friends house, part of the job was laying new concrete floors....We did inform the old bill, client wasnt very happy at the prospect of their floors coming up, but they used the x-ray thingy and said nothing showed up lol

Ice, please eat pet. We can never be together. I know it's hard, but one day you will move on, find a nice girl your own age, and I'll be nothing but a pleasant memory.........honest!

When I was about 13ish I had a huge crush on the son of one of my mum's friends. He had just left school at the time and he considered himself far too grown up to have anything to do with me rolleyes . I still really fancied him til I was around 17 at which time he left town with his job and moved down south. I have never seen him since and I doubt I would recognise him now. However, I am still attracted to the type of guy that he looked like and how I imagine him to look now. And to think, the git didn't even look at me twice mad  confused

Did once have a crush on young lady when I was in my 20's... she and I bantered all the time with no possiblity of a relationship in the cards at the time.. :upset:
Met her several years later, it was like we were never apart, spent several days together and then parted ways... great memories. Still keep in contact.. still wonder what if, what could have been... she sometimes emails me with the same thoughts that i was having at that moment.. spooky. We have gone several months with no contact then almost at the same instant emails are flowing.. for some reason she always knows when and what i think and vice versa... really great just too bad that we didnt keep it together... but she is a soulmate.. one of two that i have in this world - lucky me. i have found not one but two.. neither are my wife but they are there none the less....

was you on the same road on the same day..?..later then ?
The lass I'm thinking of might think it was a lucky escape if she ever met me now smile But if by any miracle Jenny S----- who once went to a certain College 6th form in Liverpool is reading this and remembers a DW who asked her out to the theatre oh, so many moons ago, drop me a line. You were deffinitely serious crush material.
Is this turning into Friends Reunited? I'd join, but there's almost nobody else from back then I'd want to meet lol.
