The motorcar is an extension of a man.
Some have cars with long bonnets saying 'look what I have, I have another one just as long'
Others go for six hundred cc, twin cabs, fuel injected power packs mounted at the back of a two seat-er sports car that does 0 to 60 in 3.2 seconds. Saying 'You can feel my power, look how fast I am.' Then again does a lady want it all over in 3.2 seconds?
Yet others go for the gin place on wheels with burgundy leather. Saying 'Look at me I do not have to try it all comes to me.' Perhaps a lady wants her man to try.
If men have cars that are extension of themselves do women? What would they be?
Would one be a little MG with those round head light peeking over the front of the grill. Petite and responsive.
Or would it be some thing with soft springs and a larger interior, say a 4x4 built for the ruff roads of surbiton.
Or would it be something with a large entrance and plenty of cargo space, say a white van.
Myself I think need at least three cars. One small and practical for town. An Range Rover, rugged but comfortable and an Aston Martin for a quick get away having posted this.
What would you car be?
Mine is an adorable MGF.... its red.... with a black hardtop on at the moment... she's called Florence and I love her dearly..... She can be sweet and yet sensual.... dependable and yet exciting.... and I wouldn't change her for the world.
I'd be a Jag. Sleek, classy, sexy and adored by millions.
yeah right rolleyes
I'm more like my old Golf. Built like a tank, cheap to run and far too old

Dunno what sort to be honest..
At present I have a Hyundai 4x4 and I suppose as it does the job it was purchased for reasonably well I guess its a good reflection ..... ;-)
Robin Relient.
well..
if, as you say, the motorcar is an extension of man and you need at least 3, i'd respectfully suggest some sort of psychiatric help is in order.
why no go for summat small, practical, comfortable and fast thereby saving all that insurance and road tax...?
you know it makes sense.
It would be something deceptively small from the outside, but with a lot under the bonnet. Nothing too "in your face" but with a small boot and lots of buttons inside to play with.
I drive a vw camper with removeable interior. She's not very fast but she handles reasonabley well and you can find her in the car park easily. The fittings are a bit shabby but the mileage isn't too bad and there's no rust on the bodywork. What she could really do with is a new set of tyres and a service.
My favourite car is the jaguar xk150. Sheer poetry on wheels.

I haven't owned a car for over three years...bin wandering around and had no need.
Would love a vw camper though - am dead jealous H-x .
Anyway..on topic....no car = requires no extension? dunno

Guided tours on request.
So, you've either borrowed or stollen them?
no car = need to live somewhere with decent public transport = anywhere other than Wales

Is it a T2 or T25 and will you be at Vanfest in Sept confused:
Phredd
She's a T4, and no - that would involve me having to wash her, she's frightened of those big wirring brush thingies, although she would cut a dash with her high top and swivel seats.

...the former, mainly been on rented/borrowed bikes the last coupla years...been in some odd places... nothing beats a 500cc Enfield between yer legs though .. (well, almost nothing)
Hear ya on remoteness/public transport, just spent a week stranded in deepest darkst Sussex
what id like to be:
The Holden efijy (concept car)

ford focus saloon in champagne beige. Makes a vague attempt to be trendy and is probably under the impression it actually IS trendy although in reality its a social outcast rolleyes redface :P lol

wink mmmm T4 very posh. High top as well. Beats my Pop Top lol
Get yourself to Malvern lol should be a great weekend. forget the wash bit, whats a bit of muck amongst friends ?
Phredd
Not sure I should post in this one.. I don't think the car reflects the type at all. I do drive a fast and sporty car but I'm never in any rush to do anything.... ever! Now Julie rides a big motor scooter everywhere so what would that make her lol???
If I had to choose to be a car, (trying to get in the way of thinking here) it would be a Bentley or an Aston Martin.. Classy, powerful, slightly cheeky, very able and good at what it does best. Nice thought lol...

Now if we're talking bikes, I want one of these when I grow up (ie pass my test )

:smitten:
Marry me Steve :inlove:
:giggle:
The dream? A Bently Mulsanne Turbo, fast, powerful, exquisitely built, well appointed, with expensive tastes.
The fact? !2 year old Mitsubishi Lancer, bit scabby at the edges, saggy upholstery, totaly reliable, and still capable of seeing off a lot of younger stuff.
I would probably be something like a golf cart or a battery powered bicycle lol
Tony wink

you know it makes sense.

In reality I have gone for something small and practical, most of the time.
