Manchester - the home of some great clubs (apparently), the northwest posse, and some of the best music to come out in the last 15 years! and, according to the papers last week, about to overtake Birmingham as Englands second city?

we're to poor to be able to afford water :lol2:
Ah but did you know statistically speaking that Paris gets more rain annually than Manchester? Not that I can say the word "statistic" of course....

Move across the border into Brum we nick all our water from Wales. "Now there's lovely for you"
And the forecast for Newcastle today is grey and rainy with some drizzle and cloud cover followed by wet patches (good if you're in bed but not so good if your'e the weather man), and some showers later in the day. We'll have some rain over night, clearing for some sprinkles in the morning and a wet, windy afternoon, ending with storms and cloud with a high of 2.

Dont think so Dewi. The information below is from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
Climate
Manchester has a reputation as a rather rainy city. The average annual rainfall is 809mm, meaning that this reputation is undeserved. This total is less than Glasgow for example. In international terms, Manchester receives substantially less rain than New York City, which receives 1200mm of rain in an average year and the average annual rainfall total is comparable with that of Rome. In relation to the UK however, Manchester recieves a higher rainfall, in comparison to London, Leicester, Nottingham, Leeds and Newcastle.

As i am a manchester lad born and bred i feel that i should offer my impartial view to this topic.
It never rains in Manchester.
The dampness that appears from the sky is only the tears of wan-a-bee mancunians who can never experience the joy of being part of such a fantastic culture.
However, i have been forced to move up into the hills of Lancashire as my doctor advised me that they have yellow vans with square wheels that do regular tours of the village.
It rain enough at old trafford to stop us winning the ashes 3-1.......but who cares we still won um back 2-1  surprised smile biggrin lol rotflmao :bounce:  69position hump :smoke: what day at the oval that was.
