it was nice to see new faces as well as the old again biggrin

It was lovely to see some familiar faces and also to meet new people (as well as some that I have apparently met before redface

I had a great night, but was another lightweight I'm afraid, think I was back in the hotel room by about 1am and snoring my head off not long after that confused

Looking forward to Saturday even more now biggrin

Thanks also to lep and little gem for all their efforts in making last night successful...
sorry if i gave anyone my cold but the temptation to get a free drink off hannahnalex was too good to miss so i had to turn up!!!!
Thought the venue was ideal too...enabled everyone to have good conversation without worrying about who was listening!!!
Lets do it again sometime...

Thanks also from me to leprachaun and little gem for organising a great evening.
It was great to meet Scandal and find that he does have normal-sized teeth. But he doesn't lookunlike Manuel of Fawlty Towers!
It was good to have a nice long chat with you, Gem - in both our languages rolleyes

, and I also enjoyed my chats with Mistress Sassy and nw_chap. And it was great to see everyone else.

I think these meetings a great........I luv 'em. I never get to talk properly to as many people as I'd like and for some reason I always seem to spend a huge chunk of time chatting to Judy_TV.........one of the most genuine and free spirited people on the site and always great company to be in.
Thanks for organising it guys and I too will look forward to the next one.

I folowed the Manchester mini much topic and having never been to a mini or maxi munch I wondered how you go about introducing yourselves at these events. Is it a bit like when you were a kid and you went to a disco and daren't speak to anyone redface

or is there some form of ice breaking games?
Do you wear lapel badges identifying yourselves or is it down to formal introductions?
I would be particularly interested to hear the views of a first timer. I can imagine there being quite a little clique between those that are regular attendees and it being quite difficult to break down the barriers. It must take quite a lot of courage to go to one of these munches for the first time and as much as I would love to attend I need to get over my nerves.

Some people have badges from previous munches, so you can see who they are. If I don't know who someone is and they aren't wearing a badge, I just say 'Who are you?'
Works for me lol

but not everyone is brave enough to do that and some people won't tell you either, they like to keep you guessing. confused

I went for the first time to this munch and yes it was really scary walking down the stairs and up to people, but i just walked over and said hi and then waited for a response.
People were lovely and all chatted to me and I had a great time. If you get to go then just do the same. People don't bite unless you ask them too, nicely! lol

i know i'm late in but just giving a big shout up to all those who made it (even the southern trollops) a great get together
i believe a few were shocked to see that the leprechaun doesn't wear green and is more than 3foot tall lol
the quality of all was brilliant from the regular face i know to those who i now know
judy the call on the after munch venue was great u is a darlin
big thank you also to my side kick little gem thank you for your help (also mods for there guidance to this munch virgin)
