Hiya
My girlfriend and I want to go to a swinging club in Manchester. I've read the reviews on this site, but none of them seem to answer our main question...what is the age of people in them like? I'm 25 and she's 21 and she'd concerned that they will be full of "older people", and she's really not into that. We're hoping there will be people around our age range.
Can anyone advise? Anyone tried the different ones listed and can recommend one over the other?

I would say that it will be like any club, a real cross section of people. You never know who will be there on any given night.
Yep, I agree with Nola. We've been to Partners a couple of times and there's always a real mix of ages.
If you want more of a relaxed time then try a couples night first, as we felt that the busier nights can sometimes generate too much attention.
Depends what you want from the night I suppose.
Yep, and you don't have to play with folk if there isn't a mutual attraction there. Just go along and see how you enjoy it.

I think you will generally find a mix of age groups, but I find that everyone who goes to these clubs tends to stay young, however many candles are on their birthday cake!
If your girlfriend only wants to be with people of your own age, the swingers clubs I have seen are probably not going to be to her taste.
But if you both want somewhere to relax, chill out, have a few laughs and get to know some friendly people, they must be just the place for you.
I visit Adam and Eves regularly. Everyone has their own preference, but I find the atmosphere very friendly and easy-going. Why not give it a try - nothing ventured, nothing gained!

TO be fair, most tend to be older... You're in the lower end of the age group really...
But it's still worth going along and having a look... you don't have to do anything and ppl do listen to the word 'no'... And if you happen to find anyone you like.. Then bonus...
There are also some clubs that do have younger nights... For the best ones, take a trip to Amsterdam...

Hi, In our opinion its about numbers - the clubs have all ages going so the more that go the more chance you have of getting to meet younger people. In our experience there's not a lot of younger people and we think its for a couple of reasons 1. Younger people are more likley to be web literate and confident of meeting up from the web - being photogenic on sites etc and are less likley to go to clubs as a result. 2. The typical age of swingers (a straw poll on here would indicate as much) is 30 + (use the search facility to check the demographics yourselves to see) this reality is reflected in the clubs - This predominance of older ages could be for a number of reasons connected to courage, kids, sexual liberation and maturity and growth.
3. The less young people go in - the less they attract so its a downward spiral.
I hope this is usefull - in short - we dont see many people under 30 in the clubs other than the odd busy night.
We think clubs have had their day - but thats another posting!
