That site is friggin amazing!

The photo's are better than google maps but not quite as close but still better than google i think.
Why do they allways take the pics when my boxers are out on the line drying lol
Call me blond but I couldn't find my address dunno
The picture of my street is about 3/4 months old - LOADS of trees and so can't see my car. And it's a back view - never my best!! The front is so lovely too!
Google maps do the same stuff but I'm not able to judge which is better.
:P

sorry to disappoint to you all but the aerial photos are at best 6 years old
err mine isnt it was taken this year
I've used the site for a while now, its very usefull for searching out hotels etc. The ariel shots vary in age from recent to fookin Handsom Carriages trundling down the street, so a bit hit and miss on time stamps, but like everything else it will get better, hell for a fiver you might even be able to follow your neighbour down the street in real time... rolleyes

A good guess Polo, Bedfordshire is one of the areas that are not up to date and does show horse drawn carriages instead on motor vehicles, but I think you've got Handsom carriages and shit carts mixed up.

You can have a :kick: too ya cheeky sod!
The maps are around 3 years out of date... but I'm guessing you two would be the experts on the old photos. flipa
sorry felix but think you will find they are older than that i have just looked at the farm fields all round peterborough and there isnt one with any countryside stewardship or grass conservation margins round the outside. There isnt a farmer in this country who hasnt taken advantage of the payments being offered from the EEC to have them and a 2mtr margin is mandatory now round cereal crops as a spray buffer and has been so for for the last 3 or 4 years now, so i cannot see how the satellite pics are this years. The satellite images of where i am are at least ten years old as a product we stopped selling is standing in the yard.

If it's anything like the Google earth one, some areas could be more recent than others.
When Mr W gets in, I'll be able to date ours to within a 1 year period as the drive we had put in on our arrival is there- but his workshop isn't.

My local villages seem to be less up to date, whereas the major town seems to be a lot more up to date. It would make sense.
The last Google Earth pic I saw of my gaff was about 7 years out of date confused There were cars where there is now no car-park and my garage was the wrong colour :P

Go check quick, the picture might be recent and the bastards will steal anything these days.
The photo of my street is at the very least 3 years old.
