Like many couples who include single guys in their ads we get 100s of mails from this and other sites and groups. We tend to instantly dismiss the one liners and bland mails.
We we got to thinking...are we missing out?.. after all its not their essay abilities we're interested in.
But.....we'd hate to be stuck with a Benny (Crossroads)...but we do realize not all people are comfortable with introductory mails.
Anyone else struggled with this?

I just struggle with writing the blasted replies
tell us about yourself people say, how in hell do I put 43 yrs of expeirneces into a short mail ?????
serious I rarely do 1 liners, normally 100 liners, but it is bloomin hard to decide most the time wht to put, especially if you dont do the old copy/paste of a standard reply

Well of course it's true, but how on earth can you get round the problem without meeting up with the people concerned for a start. I have had many friends and work colleagues through the years who have struggled with literacy problems, and yet been intelligent articulate people face-to-face. Some of the people I have met through ads have similarly come across very differently in email or msn to they way they presented face-to-face. But ultimately you just have to trust your instincts and make choices accordingly.

If you're getting hundreds of messages, then I guess you have to weed out the ones that can't write, sounds like you should be left with loads that can. I'm generally only able to write after a long day at work and my brain's mush so that's no good, so no, don't dismiss them, they might be great ;-)
