Would you give someone your mobile number when you're arranging a first time meet?
I'm a bit wary but have a sneaking suspicion I'm just being paranoid.
What d'you reckon?

A lot of folk have a second SIM so they have a swinging number.

yeah i have a swingers phone
mind you have to have 1 as we meet single guys and they can be abit of a pain and my swingers phone is usally switched off unless ive aranged to meet or a call

Yes I have a Pay as you go mobile just for that purpose, and the munches and socials I use to arrange all were given that number as well.

and throw away sims all free on a lot of sites , I have around a dozen sims.....

I thought about a second sim - we all have loads of spare phones, but found an excellent feature on mine - caller groups - I can auto reject and ban other mobiles from contacting me - im rubbish at remembering numbers....it works a treat and ive already got it set up to reject no numbers as well

I would be wary of someone if they were hesitant in giving a contact number,and would most certainly not bother taking things any further with them

Why would you need two seperate numbers, unless trying to hide something?
I once gave my number to a "single" guy. Once when he was busy chatting to me, his other phone went, he then said "gotta go, its the wife"! I think he forgot he was single!
I just delete all texts as soon as they arrive, and delete the ones I send out straight away, just in case my adult kids ever go through my phone.
It was bad enough having one work, and one personal phone in my early mobile phone days, a swinging phone as well, would of made my pockets very bulky!

Things can happen on both sides, and you may have to cancel the meet.
I would want to be able to contact the person, rather than have them turn up, and for us not too, and visa versa!

Sometimes I need to go into meetings at work which I really don't want to have disturbed but in the same breath, my kids have to be able to contact me 24/7. Having a family phone and a SH phone just means I can take my family one in to any meeting and it will only go off in an emergency.
Work know exactly what I'm doing and why. They just laugh about it.

if i was feeling comfortable enough to get to the pont of arranging to meet someone then i would feel ok about them having my number.
its helps incase either has to cancel.
if someone wont give me a mobile number i wouldnt meet them. i would feel they have something dodgy about them, and to be honest the trust thing again, if they cant trust me with their number they shouldnt be meeting me.
i dont have a swinging phone though.

Before mobiles and the internet were invented I gave out my number on an 0898 contact line set up. That was a pain. My life had changed but two years on I was still getting callers at all times.
I have an old mobile with sim card completly separate. you must beware if you have secrets that clever phones these days like to rearange your textes and contact details at random.
