Right, Know a swinging site isnt normally the forum for advice on which mobile phone to have but guessing there is a wide and varied base of people to get opinions from so here goes.....
Due for an upgrade on my phone next week. Which mobile phone should I be looking to upgrade to?
Use my phone for a lot of texting, occasional photo and video wink and internet for my email and facebook etc
Your advice would be much appreciated.
I've got the HTC Desire and love it. Great for doing all the above and its pretty simple to use (even I can work it out)

Anything goes here wink
I have had an iPhone 3G but as a PC guy I prefer the HTC Desire s.
Its a bit more rugged and I find it easier to integrate with my home network, it syncs without any hassle, including apple software like iTunes!
Im Fraser and perving through 7 windows was my idea lol
I have an iPhone but have total HTC envy. The Desire is a cracking phone. When my contract is up I won't be getting an iPhone 4, it'll defo be an HTC phone.
I love my Iphone but not keen on Ians HTC confused
I have a Dell Streak - lovely big screen, Android, in-screen keyboard that my fingers fit on. Rather expensive contract - but that's O2 for you.
Don't be put off by non-iPhone phones lacking the fun apps. Any decent apps end up on Android within weeks anyway.
SM love's the HTC Desire HD version, mind you both looked at the new HTC Flyer (sort of cross between smart phone and tablet), which like the Galaxy tab is useful as a phone, texting and also browsing with and video playback.
Worth a look at and try in shop
Love my IPhone 4 but if it's a crap phone IMHO unless its jail broken, then you can do lots with it.
Ok it's not compatible with flash but there is an app that will allow it to play flash.
Wil I upgrade to an Iphone 5 when it comes out?
That I don't know, I might very well change to something else, I love every new gadget that comes out and I would buy everything if I could afford it
Like most here, I too have the HTC Desire, cracking phone.
On the plus side it's ANDROID simpler to use plus it has flashplayer installed so you can enter the Chatrooms amongst other great features, on the downside the battery life is poor.
That said it is far superior to the iPhone in my opinion.

Shhhh you bad boy - I didnt want to bring that up :haha:
HTC Sensation as soon as it's available. Dual core in a phone? Yes please!
I have a frigged HTC HD2 at the moment running Froyo (Gingerbread ROMs are a bit unstable as of right now) and can honestly say Android is awesome. Not tried WinPho 7, but then I don't own an Xbox, sohalf the features would be lost on me.
Either way - don't be a sheep and get an eyephone.

Perhaps it was the right forum to ask then!
Cheers folks for your opinions so far, much appreciated.
Kind of expected everyone to say Iphone4 so a bit of a surprise.

thanks!
I am a total techy biff and I'm sure I dont use anywhere near all the stuff that you can do on my phone.
I have a Blackberry Curve. It's ok, but the buttons are too small and my nails get in the way. (Typical girly reply hey) redface
My contract is up soon so I could do with some advice too. Thanks for this thread!! (Although I dont understand most of it!) If anyone fancies speaking English, that would be a bonus!! lol
If you want to keep up on all this techy stuff I would recommend checking out a couple of websites I (geekily) have in my morning routine at work.
Engadget and Gizmodo. They break news on all things techy and link to some really good indepth reviews of the latest bits of geekery. I'm sure there's a few more "mobile phone" related sites out there though.

Spacecowboy, may I suggest a Nokia 2310? Quite handy for making phone calls, even has predictive text for those rare occasions when typing Hi, B there 5 mins one handed is quicker than saying Hi, be there 5 mins. confused
It don't run Win 7 or XBoxLive right enough, and you can't play Angry Birds on it either, but on the plus side, you're never gonna imagine to yourself as you caress its sensuous curves that sitting at a restaurant table not two feet away from your significant other, in company, choosing to communicate with all and sundry via the quantum-mechanical matrix connecting your matching his and hers fondle-slabs is in some way appropriate, in a this is a perfectly normal way to behave now that we've all out-evolved all them boring biological things like vocal chords and what have you? :?
Just saying like.
N x x x ;)

Thank you but to be honest, as long as a phone can make calls, text, receive emails, go on t'internet to perv (and check our gazillions of messages rolleyes), go on facebook and has a decent camera then everything else would pretty much be wasted on me.
What else does a girl need from a phone?

As big fraser said, Skyfire but it costs $ ,unless you have a jailbroken phone and installous wink
If your iPhone is Jail-broken ,then there are other alternatives ,such as frash etc.
It is not illegal to jailbreak your iPhone just google it and see, altho it may be illegal to install certain programs, repositories and hacked apps on it.
But of course I would never do that.rolleyes
