Hi I use to work for Phones 4 u so worked with all the networks there are some great deals on all networks it just depends what your looking for minites, text, phone, signal each network will try and put you off the other 3 is fine but I found the customer service was rubbish but thats only if you have a problem what are you looking for in a network? and why you like 3?
I'm sure I can help.
xx
Good post I am looking for a new mobile too!
I find it all confusing!
I am on pay as you go at present paying about £30 a month I know I can get a contract for this price but I don't want to sign into a contract.
Are there any other type deals out there?
I would like more free talk time to texts!
I am sure someone can help!
Yes TabbynTina all there call centers are not in the UK, if all your looking for is a way to use more text one month and more minites another month but want to be able to speak to someone that talks english why not try T-mobile they do some thing call 'flex' it works like credit for £35 a month you will get £180 of credit every month to use on text, minits and pictures messages, plus they have a better choise of phones.
Well Theladyisaminx if you like the phone you have got at the moment why not go for a 'sim only' deal it is a contract but unlike a normal contract you can cancelle after one month orange is doing a good one at the moment 500min unlimited text for £30 a month or T-mobile have a contract called 'you fix' this is a fixed monthly charge and when your credit has gone you have to top it up so you no where you are.
Hope this helps you both if this isnt what your after I'm sure I can help futher.
xxxxxx
Be warned.
O2 run their highstreet shops and internet sales as separate businesses. The shops deals are nowhere near as good as online. And you can't swap between them mid-contract. If you want to go to O2 use the online shop. I don't know if it's the same for others.
Ye most the networks keep there best deals on line we use to have lots of people come in seeing if we could match the online deals and we never could.
Im with vodaphone and when I came to renew my contract I looked at the deal they were offering me versus the online deals and the one that they were offering me was pants in comparision. I contacted customer service and explained what I wanted they said they couldn`t match it, I just mentioned that if they couldn`t offer me the deal I wanted I would find a company that would. Hey presto the deal I wanted and a nice new shiney phone delivered 24hrs later.
I did the same with 02. my old contract was £25 a month for 75 mins and 50 txts, when i renewed i got 400 mins and 500 txt for £15 a month. You just have to haggle!!
We both have contracts with 3 and have decent Sony Ericson phones (both have different models). Previously I have been with Orange for years and he was with T-Mobile, but we could not beat the 18 month deals on 3 (1100 mins/texts for £20 plus 300 3 to 3 mins).
We have no problems with the phones, no problems with the service and we did have to query something with them and did not go through to a call centre in India (well, the person we dealt with had a London accent).
Coverage has been brilliant, even in the middle of no where and so far we would highly recomend them. This is the second time we have been with them and the only reason we left last time was because my works mobile was with T-Mobile and I had free calls to the same network. They have definately improved their coverage and service since the last time we were with them.
Just a thought I think you get 14 days to return the phone if you are unhappy with it. (I did with vodaphone)
3 have a 0 day returns on all there products.
(which is shit)
Virgin mobile 300 texts 300 mins £10 a month sim card only though you have to provide handset.
ye the sim only deals are great 500min unlimited text with orange for £30 which is fab.
ive got my last 2 phones from fantastic deals but you have to redeem vouchers at regular intervals which is a lot of hassle but very cheap
but if you miss one voucher the others are cancelled and then its exspensive
if your fairly well organised you cant beat there prices and its a subsidary of car phone whare house
so should be secure
i have been on 3 for a few years and have this year converted mrs2 over from orange, i was previously with t-mobile. both find coverage is better for us in our area, our bills are cheaper, yes call centres are in india but that seems to be the norm with virtually everything now.
well i,m with o2 threatened to leave and they came up with a nokia n95 free and 400 mins and 500 texts for
£20 , so i think i'll stay with them for the time being
