Why do I continue to moderate on this site? Because I enjoy it!! I enjoy helping people (I do it for 12 hours a day as part of my job) and when I stop enjoying it I will stop doing it. I don't care who owns the site. I'm not doing it to help them, I'm doing it to help the people that use the site.

Well I'm obviously still on here as I'm a power crazed egoist with the backbone of a dead jellyfish...............so be it. rolleyes

I'm still reeling from the fact that I am expected to continually justify, explain and ask permission for any action I take on the internet as a member of Swinging/Sex Sites.
I don't see what business it is of anyone's which sites I belong to, which I help out on and which I might choose to pay for.
It's not relevant to anyone but me (and maybe Timmy lol

)
Do I discuss these sites on any of the others - NO.
If I have a problem on one do I go to one of the others to resolve it/whinge/critisise - NO
Do I spam on any of these sites - NO
Do I poach members from one site to another - NO
Do I do my best to help people, make friends, attend meets - YES I'd like to think so.
I don't get everything right everytime but I do my best to be a part of a community that I love dearly, I also look to the future of that community and try to make decisions that I think will help there as well.

sorry I'm a little late with my contribtion..but to be honest don't really log on here much anymore. We all know Swinging heaven has changed....as i think most of us thought it might when it became a commercial site. There isn't a lot many of us can do about it...as Fabio says a few pages back..not so much of a swingers site as a commercial sex contacts site now .
As for the mods. Well we all know they had a difficult and quite often thankless job before. Now with the new influx, they have a monster of a job, and I for one do not envy them. I do not always agree with what they do...or what they did before for that matter.. but do respect the fact that in the end they are doing things for the right intentions and motives.

Well I've not posted here for a little while......due to the fact that I don't feel I belong here anymore and also I've been a bit busy biggrin

When I say I don't feel I belong I mean, there is a lot of bitching and moaning etc etc going on and that's not what I'm here for. My friends will know that I'm not one for gossip or bitching so I chose to stay away for a little while....not just from here, from the other places too.
I'm saddened that the community has fragmented and I don't suppose it'll ever be the same again but like people have said before, if we stick together then things might just get better. I'm no fan of change and I hated this site when everything first got changed but now I'm seeing that it is just a site..... the community are the people that make it what it used to be.
Postie, you know I don't usually disagree with you but without knowing your motives for the thread I think you did overstep the mark there. I still think most mods do a bloody good job considering the crap they have to put up with and the changes that have gone on here. Most of them are here to help the community, not because they are in the pocket of the Admin.
I think its going to take a little while yet for the dust to settle and for people to get on with each other how they used to - obviously it wasn't all a bed of roses before but it was a lot better than it is now. Stop swiping at each other and try to rebuild the community not just here, but in the other places too.
