has everyone who tries to show their email addy on their advert, been warned by the mods that their membership may be terminated if they persist?

You can only use the email address that you have registered on the site. Is the one on your ad different?
When you create an Ad, there's a note saying;
Please note:
Putting email addresses or any other contact information (e.g. phone numbers) into you advert is against site rules, if you do so you risk having your account being suspended or terminated!

Yep, you're not unique, it goes out to everyone. And if anyone see's a hidden email, then report it, then they can have a message too biggrin :happy:
i havent had a warning regarding the inclusion of a emial addy in a ad as i dont have a ad and if i did i hope i wouldnt break the aup.
i think now the site has changed from free to paying membership the new owners have the right to protect their invesment by saying no contact to be displayed ie phone numbers and e mail addys, that way the browsing for free people cannot make cintact unles they have paid.
this rule also protects the person placing the ad, do you really want to leave your self open to all sorts calling you or spamming you?
oh and if you tried to disguise the email addy then you must have known you shouldnt be doing it so expected the warning??

Exactly, plus, if you post a phone number we have no way of knowing it is a persons number or someone they think needs help with their sex life or revenge confused
On this thread is it ok to ask a question without looking a twa*? If its wrong to put your e-mail on your ad is it ok to put it in a reply or responce to an ad??
Serious question, not a wind up..
Mike
Mrd it is fine to enclose it in a reply to an ad or PM biggrin
Shireen
Mdr, i would say yes, once contact has been made its up to you.
but might be safer to stay with SH as your contact base for a while, that way if it turns out to be a spammer , or lulling you in to a cost thing you can report them and they wont have your private e-mail addy to start spamming you to.
also they could turn out to be someone you end up not clicking with and regeret giving them your email, msn, id etc.
