Telephone numbers on a mobile phone:-
What methods does everyone have for 'storing' them else where in case the phone gets lost?
Or is it a case when the phone is lost that is it, or is there a computor programme to download and save to?

I've never given that any thought but I'd be buggered if I lost my phone. All my numbers are on there and no where else
Hmmmmmmmm the problem I have is with all the ancillary bits and bobs and knowing which bit mates with which bob.
For example I've got mains chargers and in vehicle chargers for two different laptops, Sony Walkman, 3 different mobile phones, pocket television, flashlight, digicam battery charger, epilator, etc,.

one of the mobile phone shops will store all your numbers on their computer for a small fee if you are not a customer, and free if you are.

I use a silver paint stick thing for that.
Forgot to mention some of my in vehicle bits run off 12v and some 24v like my large fridge, (the small one runs off 12v), so I have to also have reducers to step down from 24 to 12v.
My microwave is AC mains powered so if I want to use that in my truck I need to use my power inverter which changes the power supply from DC to AC.
Then there's my kettle which is 12v and my fan which is 24v.
I tell you it's a nightmare sometimes!
wink

Hi Sarah
Most new phones come with a disc that will allow you to back them up onto your PC/laptop via infrared, bluetooth etc.. Mine's a Nokia 6310i and having lost 3 or 4 in the past and all of my numbers with them I tried it out and it works just great - it even copies them back in, in a sensible order. PM me if you want any more details biggrin x

you can also buy a sim card copier that takes your sim card details and stores them, simple enough to use and at aroung £5 an easy and cheap way of copying your phonebook details for safe keeping. You just insert your sim card, press store and the jobs done, the details can then be copied across to a different sim card if you loose one.
