Sitting and wallowing in my own self pity .....
Spending time with newly-arrived-home- child number 1...collecting child number 2 and boyfriend...waiting for the call from child number 3 which inevitably says that her lift has fallen through...oh, and taking child number 4 xmas shopping.
Then making decorations with the foliage I foraged yesterday, cooking dinner, delivering child number 1 to the pub...
and debating letting said "child"- with whom I had an amazingly frank discussion about Polyamory last night- in on our "little secret."

I woke up at half six... got up and fed Digby then went back to bed.
I got up again about an hour ago and I've cleaned out his cage, wedged a vase between the end of the table and the wall to stop him digging up my carpet and hoovered up the bits he's already chewed off the carpet!
Now I'm going to have a shower and I'm waiting for my online shop to arrive. Then I'm going to start baking... one of the girls at work has decided that we don't do enough for people less fortunate than ourselves so we're all baking for the homeless/elderly people this weekend.
I'm planning on making gingered chilli chicken for dinner and eat icecream while I watch the xfactor final.
I'm off on Monday so I have a nice long weekend to myself! :bounce:

you know the more people i talk to lately the more i wonder if i'm the only one who doesn't like mulled wine? :dunno:
i don't like any hot fruit based drink as it just tastes weird to me. does it actually taste the same to you lot when heated?

dont put the fruit in, its not compulsory, just use the wine sugar spices and throw some cointreau or brandy in, make it to your own taste doesnt have to be a recipe from anywhere just make your own version, i love the warm spicy feeling of drinking it

I don't like mulled wine either- in fact, the other half was about to buy some today, I & said "bleurgh." It was palatable, once, after open air ice skating whilst mooching at the stalls & soaking up the atmosphere in a little alpine town after dark on xmas eve- but even then, it only scraped "palatable."
