My recent 'interesting dishes' included stir fried pigs intestines with Chinese black pudding, and boned pigs trotter stuffed with chicken mousseline and black pudding. Both were yummy.
Notice the theme there - pigs are great because you can eat everything including the oink.
I didn't even have to venture out of Northern England to experience these particular delicacies.
Oh, and I ate squirrel with it's giblets on toast and roasted bone marrow at St John in London about two years ago as well. I consider any trip down South as foreign travel.
