According to a poll conducted by the Metro newspaper, the Most Influential Woman Of The Last 100 years is...
Leona Lewis

Somewhere Emmeline Pankhurst is turning in her grave and thinking "Why the feck did I bother?"
"The poll, carried out by the Metro"
Nothing to see here
knowing who mainly reads the metro and the area`s it has the highest disribution
then i would imagine that the woman who came second was
"that woman who lives in the end flat dat does the weed n crack an shit"

When the general public consider something from X Factor as the cutting edge of musical excellence, what else do you expect?
Perhaps they were thinking of the horse impressionist field of influence ?
Unfortunatley as this thread is entitled "most influential women of the last 100 years" I can't say that it was my mum, god bless her
You mum always knows best!

They got it wrong, it's got to be Mrs. Skinny. Most influential woman in my life.
I recommend the list in The Guardian.

Rosa Parks.

Absolutely!
I like Rosa Parks as a nomination
Other candidates: Mother Teresa but, in terms of influence (rather than 'goodness' or humanitarian effort) then Margaret Thatcher has to be one of the most influential women of the last 100 years. I realise that she is a somewhat divisive figure, and I am not asking whether people here agree with her or even approve of her, but it's hard to deny her influence.

Are you suggesting she was a cow ?
Depends what is meant by influencial I suppose.
In national politics Thatcher has to be there as she influenced a whole generation of political changes and spitting image charicatures. I really hated what she did in the 80's but I can't fault her in terms of influence. Before her as said already Emily Pankhurst. A real icon in changing the way women could be valued in their own right by giving them the vote. I am in awe of the women in that time period who really cared about equality.
Victoria Beckham, Jordan etc in terms of the commericialism of being content free but having the balls to make rather a good income from it. Many a youngster has been influenced in the last 10 years by this.
I hope Mother Teresa will always be remembered for her humility and humanity.
Think though ask young people under age of 20 and its likely to be either pop or film stars but thats life
I have a lot of time for sonia jackson and her trumpet playing
