I got a very expensive bouquet of flowers & vase from my step son on Saturday, put them in water & vase, and in a coolish room, they looked wonderful.
However arrived home this afternoon from the Banquet and they look like they are at least a week old, faded, and wilting.
Now what do I do, ring him up and tell him they are dying, where did he get them sent from and can he ring up and complain or thank him for the wonderful expensive flowers.
well if they were expensive they should have lasted... i would tell him so he can get some better ones... he wont want to think his hard earned money's gone to waste!

Thanks dazandlou, they were from next via their mail order / postal delivery service. I think might ring him now and tell him.
I got the best pressie of the lot . . . all my three sons came round and we spent the whole afternoon together as a family again :bounce:
What with work and our various commitments, it's not often we do manage to all get together, so I'm feeling particularly loved up at the mo :smile2:
When your kids have left home, it's day's like this that you realise how much you miss them not being under your feet as they were when they were young sad . . . but on the other hand, if they were, we wouldn't be able to have so much fun wink

I got the usual gifts-flowers, chocolates and wine-all very good and not to be sniffed at smile
but the nicest thing i got was a poem my son (8) had copied off the board in school in his bestest writing:
God made a wonderful Mother,
A Mother who never grows old.
He made her smile of the sunshine,
He moulded her heart of gold.
In her eyes he placed bright shining stars,
In her cheeks fair roses you see.
God made a wonderful Mother
And he gave that dear Mother to me.
Cheesy I know, but to see it written in his scrawling hand and the smile on his face as a tear rolled down my cheek was the highlight of my day :)
