I need technical help worship

I'm currently having moajor major problems connecting to msn. I keep getting server no available and the error message 8100034!.
No I've rebooted the pc, rebooted msn, upgraded from 7.0 to 7.5, been into dos and deleted the msn cache all to no avail.
I also have messenger plus with a tonne of customisations for people's nicks, /me scripts, sounds etc and I seriously don't want to lose any of it as it's taken months to do.
I could send a connectivity log to MSN but it does warn that it contains personal information and quite frankly don't really want to share something wheret I have no control over the content.
Can anyone help? It's driving me insane now.

For what it's worth I'm using exactly the same version as you with the Plus! add-on and it's fine. I had to tweak my firewall a bit when I got his version, so you might want to have a look at that. dunno

I can connect to Morbius acct through this pc so it's def not the firewall and he's running a similar set up.
it's this one email account. I do have a . one and not a .com acct which is the only thing I can think of.
It's been running fine all night but just literally dropped the connection and I've run all the troubleshooting tools

I've managed to connect now but this isn't the first time it's happened and is getting increasingly frustrating each time!

It's been working fine for me too - just this minute stopped chatting to comeone.
But doesn't msn use more than one server.
It's happened to me a few times wher one account seems locked but another is fine.
Just try leaving it a little while then try again!
I doubt it is your account or PC at fault.

They are doing another cull at mo Devon1 - its all very hit and miss - recommend you back up and just restore after if necessary. wink

we downloaded msn 7.5 and now cant acess it we are on aol and the message we get is the firewall is blocking msn .
anybody got ne ideas ie where are the aol firewall settings???????????

I am on AOL just now - and I have had no msn problems.
Doesn't aol have the online techinical help you could refer to?

Out of interest, something similar has just happened to me after upgrading to a newer version of MSN messenger. For some reason Norton Internet Security had configured itself to block MSN. Changed it back to "Permit All" and everything is now working fine.
