Well after having a mooch around some sites today I have realised that I'm a member of at least 15 Msn Groups and almost as many ones too
Some of which I must say I have no idea why I'm a member, I rarely post on some of them, have nothing in common with others on a couple of the sites and am completely flummoxed as to why I was ever sent an invite to one or two.
I presume that I'm not the only person here like this - Have u any thoughts on it? Do any of you find Groups useful?
I mean come on it's hard enough to get to Asda with the blummin kids so how am I gonna go visit people in New York that I once chatted to on an Msn Group lol

MSn groups used to be a lot more useful, but that was when MSN had open chatrooms as well, and you could easily keep in touch with people you'd chatted with through the groups. Nowadays, well I'm still a member of a lot of them but I rarely go and have a look. As for groups, well Im in loads, it seems to be a sort of hobby with me, see one I like the look of, join, have a look then never go in again.
Local groups can be very interesting and useful
we joined several groupswhen we first moved upto the north east a couple of years ago, have met a few people from them, but today they seemed to be full of spam and people charging for rarely use them now
Hi, weuse and Msn. is more of our preferred chioce, we get much more use out of them and we run one of our own, true some of the groups just seem to have loads of adds in, those are the ones we leave, but others can be good. They are more specific so you can look for a certain type of people or activity or from a certain region, so far the meets we have arranged through the net have been through them. We get much more email from this site as it is read by a lot more people although some dont bother reading properly what we require, so theirs get binned. We run a group on as way of placing our rude pics and so we can share our links and advice, the other advantage to groups is that the members are members of , so have messenger which makes it easier to chat to us as we only use that for direct chat. That is mainly becuase we have a mac and a lot of other sites dont support them very well if at all.

groups are pretty good if you get one thats well moderated and all the spam is kept out
I find they're useful as long as they're not allowed to expand too much and are kept to the point. groups seems less clunky to use than MSN to me personally.
