Do muscular men do it for you?
They never did for me until i met my partner, hes a bit of a bodybuilder (5'11' !)
Just wondered cos loads of women look at him while we are out but when ive polled my friends they all say the muscly look is a bit cheesy?
Jean Claude Van Damme type body yes
Arnie when he was mr universe no confused
But i have to say i hate them muscle vests they wear with world gym on it and the baggy trousers that look like PJ bottoms lol with the big belts now that does look cheesy
biggrin I'll have to show him that one, he uses both hands though!!!! lol
Jean claud, is ok but arnie no or anyone who is into it too serious
after a while they begin to look out of proportion.
exercice is great but after a while it can become adictive.
something like sex maybe.
lisamarie
Arnie S type men YUK !
Give me a normal man anytime of day!!!!
One I can dominate LOL !!!

Most "muscular" men don't train properly - they focus excessively on arms and chest, and as a result get that "cheesy muscle" look, which is out of proportion.
I found that having trained for a couple of years to get into decent shape, I got far more attention from more attractive girls. How much of that is due to increased confidence though I couldn't say.
What I do know is that my girlfriend who is lovely and toned is wonderful to look at naked because of all the hard work she puts into staying in shape, so it's only fair that I should do that same for her. biggrin

It's your confidence that has done it. Not the muscles.
"Useful" muscle, like a builder or gardner has, is cool. If a guy is over-muscular, all I see is a guy who spends too much time on himself.

I agree that its prob down to your new found confidence and not your new look, i know a women who would be in most peoples opinion not attractive but shes has so much confidence shes always got a new guy on her arm, sometimes i wonder how she does it lol and i don't mean that in anyway nasty but it shows u don't have to go down to the guy and get a body u think others would like to see to be able to turn peoples heads

I totally agree with you vix, normal muscular guy,s (or girls) are fine , but the' mr muscle '
just does,nt do it for me confused The women who do those bodybuiling comps just make me feel sick :uhoh:
There are a lot of people at his gym who do the chest and arms look, its funny! they are also the ones who wear the vest and pants 'look'!
He works out his chest arms back and legs and looks great, if a little intimidating! (which can be quite sexy! wink )
Its funny cos i used to go for the skinny, soft, long-haired, i play guitar in a band look - not anymore!!!

The mr muscle types are posing fools IMO. That's why I train for strength endurance, not "fluff". Having a good shaped body is just a nice side effect of that biggrin
It's got other advantages too - there's a whole load of sexual positions that become open to you once you can support your partner's bodyweight with your arms for an extended period of time.

Saw a comparison on telly once, where they showed body types ranging from Mr Bean to Mr Universe, and all stops in between.
8 ot of 10 cats had female owners who preferred the "David Wilkie" Athlete / Swimmer look, but no more muscular than that.
Seems that public opinion here backs that up.
been reading your threads with interest and i must agree with sum and disagree with most im afraid.........
sadly some of you guys have the misconception that people who are on steroids have tiny dicks......wrong....the body of the person taking the steroid ultimately grows larger therefore the penis looks undersized or smaller than the proportions of the body mass...
also, generalising and stereotyping bodybuilders by procrastinating that they are all egotistical or self obsessed or posers is wholely untrue im none of the above....
the problem people have is that they have heard somebody say something that somebody else heard from somebody down the road....
im not having a rant, merely pointing out errors in some peoples preconceived ideologies about something they know little about...
not all muslims are terrorists are they..??
i dont belittle or berate anybody for any type of training they do, be it muscular size and mass, or endurance training, or for how they want their body to look....
those of you who spend 30mins on a tread mill then lift 7kg weights for half hr trying and ultimately failing to look like brad pitt, good on you.......
each to their own i say and as long as were all happy with what weve got etc then surely that must be a good thing..??
i was a little suprised by the negativity towards muscular men and felt compelled to write this thread and put my point of veiw across......
anyway thanks for the comments guys il keep an eye out for your further threads...
steve (50% of steanrachy)..... wink
hmm that did sound like a rant my apologies guys haha wink
im off to the gym now to train my arms and chest (not)
speak soon guys smile

Only one person has mentioned penis size in this thread; to me it looked like a joke?
As to your comment about being happy with what we've got - bodybuilders possibly aren't, otherwise why would they do it? Chairman miaow has said that he does it for endurance/strength and pointed out its benefits, but the majority of bodybuilders seem to do it because they like the look or for competition.
Other people have given their opinions - yes, they are mostly negative, but those people are just as entitled to their opinions as you are and they don't have to justify those opinions to you just because you think they're negative. I also think that these people may be adult enough, and more than capable of,forming their own opinions without having heard things like 'so and so said that so and so said that...' etcetera.
Muscular men are attractive, but it depends in what size. If they're beefed up to the max (and other slogans) then it's a turn off as you get the feeling you're always going to be second to the gym.
But I don't like skinny guys, I don't know why but I really freaks me out when I see someone so skinny you can make out their skeleton. To that end I like blokes who take care of their bodies and who like to keep in shape, those with muscles but not in ample quantities. You can make someone feel a lot safer or more intimidated by body language rather than body look.
as ever freckled bird your semi witty and semi intelligent comments are semi noted, its not that i want to impose any of my beliefs and opinions on anybody (il leave that to you....), i merely wanted to make my point, to which i am entitled.
you seem to be always on the offensive, its not an attractive quality....... rolleyes

It wasn't my intention to be even semi-witty and I certainly wasn't trying to be intelligent, I was making a comment in response to other comments made. I wasn't being offensive, I was pointing out that other peoples' opinions are as valid as your own. Nor was I imposing my view on anyone. I don't believe it's my attractiveness that's being debated here, as I'm not a body builder. confused

Mmmmm, just a thought, but I wonder how many of you ladies who don't like muscly men would change their minds if the tongue was a 'muscle' and could be pumped up....
