... this is a picture of Barry, my baby duck.
Hosty lives near a nature reserve and one morning we spotted Barry's mum sitting on her nest while on our morning stroll. Over the next week, Hosty visited the nest every morning and this pic was taken when Barry went for his first swim.
Barry and his sister, Helena, are both doing well but are very shy and not used to humans. We have to be very quiet and only get to see them now and again... But I still love him all the same...
It's like being a grandmum! biggrin

Are all the mods going to 'adopt' an animal   . First Mal with his little donkey, now you with your baby duck - who will be next and with what..................................
Seriously lovely piccie Heather biggrin
Ive been thinking about adopting a whole nest of wasps.. not content with just one... 2 pest controllers and 4 cans of RAID later and they still seem hell bent on sneaking into my bedroom late at night.. and dying on the floor
I think they just need some tlc and a hug
