Recently back from 2 weeks in Barbados and had the good fortune to be sat at a table next to Gary Lineker (my hero), Alan Hansen and their families (at the same time) in a restaurant. Saw ex Leicester & Arsenal legend Alan Smith on the beach and saw cricket legend Garfield Sobers in the golf clubhouse bar where we were staying.
If this was poker I'd say that was a pretty good hand but I guess someone on here will beat it?
I did see Prince Charles once.
Does that give me a Royal flush dunno :giggle:
Louise xx
Have rubbed shoulders with many motor racing greats(and not so greats) and even fished a few of them out of their wrecked cars over the last 15 years or so..
I once went to a party with the man who wrote On the Buses.
Once hit Jerome Flynn (of soldier Soldier fame etc)for six third ball redface
Was in the company of a former england spin bowler at a charity do whilst dressed as the brunette from Abba surprisedops:  ( he commented on my fine pair of upper bollocks  )
Rosemary Conley(she of the fitness book and diet empire) came and filmed in our house once, when Mr Bone was on a diet.
Mr Bone was a bouncer on a Mc Donalds (I kid you not) and barred Wayne Rooney from the Maccys for not being old enough to come in without an adult!!

I was once picked up and brushed down by all four members of the Damned after falling off my moped redface in Fulham Road.

Ooooh! I'd have loved to have been picked up by The Damned
Well Sir Garfield Sobers is a friend as it goes.. Not close granted but he actually lived along the road from us for a while and we often still see him.. have met Sir Richard Hadlee many many times along with Ian Botham And No I have no interest in cricket lol..
The nature of my work gives me access to lots of these people.. and meet so many time and time again .. Snooker stars.. Many many motor racing stars TV personalities and many from the world of politics Including some VERY heavy weights lol.. When alive Brian Clough used to sit and chat with me many a lunch time.. Another when alive would have been George Best met him over a dozen times.. I bet most have met more than they realise..
For me on the whole I'm neither impressed nor phased by them.. They are as normal as anyone else generally.. a few seem a little far ahead of themselves and can't see the light at the end of their sphincter but most crave normality and love to chat about normal things.

Former wrestler and actor and all round nice bloke Pat Roach was family friend. Met him few times, usually at family weddings.
