Hi all,
Has anybody experience of using vegetable oils as a massage oil / lubricant?
Baby oil is an age old favourite but it sometimes makes us both feel a little uncomfortable the day after. I was reading an article the other day about a couple who used Rapeseed oil as a local massage oil and lubricant.
We tried it last night, and it was very good, lasted a long time and very slippery. In fact, I've been able to feel it all day today.
Are there any disadvantages to using it? At per litre it just seems too good to be true.

Baby oil effect condoms
Does this veg oil?
Hi Sarah,
I'm not sure. It's not water based so perhaps it does. Having said that, it's not petroleum based like Vaseline. We didn't need to use it in conjunction with a condom, so I didn't think about it.
I was with hubby and a close male friend and it felt wonderful massaged between my pussy lips and ass cheeks, and kept me wet and slippery for alomost a couple of hours.

Sorry
But to be honest, it sounds awful and the smell of veg oil is yuk, reminds be of a greasy cafe smell!
But each to their own.
Have fun
Ty Anais,
I did wonder if there might be a downside.  I never thought to look on Google for any info.

HI Jane
You are better off using any vegetable oil as opposed to baby oil as this generally is mineral based and while it may provide the lubricating qualities you desire is not readily absorbed by the skin which is why you may feel uncomfortable the day after. As mentioned grapeseed or almond is a good substite. Even a good quality sunflower (Helianthus annuus) would work well is probably the cheapest carrier oil on the market and wont leave you smelling of chips or a fry up.
There are plenty of others to choose from such as borage seed, apricot kernel, avocado, rosehip seed but these tend to be more expensive. If you are feeling extravangant how about kukui nut at around £18 for 100ml!
If you are using essential oils in the massage you must dilute them with a carrier oil, so the sunflower or grapeseed would be ideal as they dont have any scent of their own.
Hope this is useful & I'll be round with my oils later!
grapeseed oil is a good one as has already been said, i used this at college when i took my massage qualification, it has no smell, doesnt leave a greasy residue and works well at carrying essential oils
just remember to wipe off excess oil when finished
Almond ail and Avodaco oil are also nice but a bit more expensive
Baby oil isnt really a good oil for massage as it tends to soak into the skin too quick as a good massage takes time
