Well, I am sat here in outfit trauma hell.
Why is it that even after attending umpteen site Munches and Socials I can still be floored by an attack of nerves?! rolleyes
I'm off out in Newcastle at BIoke's social next week and for some reason I have butterflies. Now I know these will be gone by the day itself - and no, not just because of pre-Social cocktail hour! - but I am amused at how I can still be nervous.
I love the nerves though. I think they add a certain adrenaline to the event.
Am I the only one to still get pre-Meet/pre-Munch/pre-Social (whatever is your 'thang') butterflies?
Nola x
I don't get them, minx does. Sometimes I have to stop myself and remember that she and others can be as nervous as hell at meets socials and such.
I ALWAYS get them, and really hope that I never stop getting them. The nervous anticipation of who will be there, who will I chat to, will I enjoy myself and will anyone turn up (for the ones we organise) are all part of the reason we go/organise socials.
However, the bigest turmoil of them all is always 'What the hell can I wear' wink

 Ain't that the truth!
We surly do get nerves, but we are still in our first year of swinging. We had a meet on Friday evening and as we drove to the location there was an air of sexual excitement, anticipation and nerves, they fit well together and I think heighten the sexual experience.
For very many years I played a pub game called Shove Ha Penny, actually to a very high standard, entering the world championships on several occasion, sadly never winning but did reach the 1/4 finals several times. When I was playing at my peak I always had pre-match nerves which disappear as soon as the game started. It was when those nerves stopped that my game went down hill.

Dont worry about next week, youll get to meet me,what could you look forward to more :giggle:

Mrs Tweeky gets nervous to the point of having to have a few drinks before leaving and she does not calm down until we are in the event and shes had another few drinks lol
I dont get get nervous attending events to me its just like walking into a crowded pub, nothing really to worry about. Attending meets would be entirely different, if my memory ever gets refreshed I'll let you know
I am told I am clam in all events, but give me a chance to muse on something and sometimes there is this little tight knot.
I recall a presentation I gave years back. My hand locked, what felt like a disaster appeared to others to be the best performances they had seen. At Least that is what I was told for a couple of years afterwards.
Sometime nerves are a good thing.
Here I was going to give advice. I resisted.

organising loads of socials before most of the butterflies have been will many turn up but having lots attend and emails asking when the next one is sorted that out .still dont stop me getting them like.
I agree completly, pre-meet nerves make it all so much more exciting. I get an attack of butterflies from first contact right up till the 's that nervous anticipation that sets your heart racing and leaves you feeling horny for ages  that i love so much...

Hi Nolan
I get the nerves too even though have been to a few of Blokes meets and many others still worry and wondered about what to wear and whether the outfit I choose will fit in with everyone else.
You looked great last time I am sure you will this time.

Seconded... you're both lovely ;-) x
Nola... in order to help with your nerves may I suggest that you imagine everyone there naked - hmmmmm, maybe not, you'd likely end up in the toilets again ;) Well it works in an interview allegedly.

Nola, nerves can be a terrible thing and even lead to self ruination of a life. Please do keep soldiering on.
Plim

I was having absolute kittens before our last outing. NWC's fantastic Wigan Munch.
After driving up there we had time to either
Watch the 6 nations match on the hotel telly
or eat.
hmmmmmm tough call
I am now no longer nervous.... just ridiculously excited!
:bounce: Bring on the Geordie hunks!
