'New mail' and yet there is none?

anyone else having any probs? Our homepage says we have 3 new bits of mail and yet when we click on flashing 'new mail' icon there is nothing in our inbox.. wtf?

I have 9 it seems.
I think the flasher has been on hols all day, now it is back working, it is the mails you have had whilst it has been off line.
Off to re open the 9 and see what happens.

It says I've got 10 new mails, but only one is in my Inbox! Tsch. Think the site is being updated? On the Homepage where I can see who's been peeking at my ad/profile is no longer there, but says it will be soon. I imagine it's a site update/maintanance.

Just started happening again have new mail flashing then mail is there when i open it it says message cannot be found
then it re appears i read it then i get the error again when trying to reply

My mail flashes and nothing there, it then appears and i try to read but i get told there is no post, when i finally get in and read it, it then does not show again on the mail list and then it comes back at me all over again rolleyes

I posted this as a support ticket as it's been happening to me for a while and thought I'd share the response with you

This bug unfortunately occurs when a user sends your account a mesasge and then cancels their account. Naturally the message would be erased as the account which sent it no longer exists but regrettably the popular 'New Mail' icon continues to flash. Once thirty days has passed, the notice of the mail will be erased automatically.

That does happen as well, the ones earlier are down to replication errors and sort themselves out each time we fix them, with a bit more fine tuning the errors shouldn't happen, mails won't get lost though.
