Hi guys,
My wife and I have created a joint membership but I have noticed that that new account can not access the chatroom or post on the forum, it just automatically re-directs to the upgrade page.
Is this a fault or are new members not able to use these feature without upgrading?
You are a full member and should be able to access all parts of the site except Extras.
Please put in a support ticket to admin and I will try to contact them from my side. Sometimes the support ticket is faster

Have you paid the site fee on the couples account? to enable you to go into the chatroom /post on the forum? dunno
they have already posted in the forum so my guess is that they have paid as just signed up members dont have the ability to post in here till they have posted
Sorry. I checked the single account and not the couple account. The couple account is a free account and lets you access to only parts of the site. If you wish to post on the forum or go into the chatroom with it then you will need to upgrade that account. Still contact admin and they can give you the options on what you can do

You could change this account to a couples? Then you don't need another account. Saves some pennies :-)

Would that avoid the charge? Or will it likely catch up and I have to pay it later?
when in chat and you see a mod ask them to change it for you for free or you could fill the form in and pay the i think £6 fee.
form can be found over there<<<<<< under the tab settings

We not mods Sara we are chat room ops lol
So can I just clarify. A new single account will let you access the chatroom & forum but a new couples account required a £6 fee to access them?

In a word.. NO
If you join the site as either a single or couple,it will only give you access to certain parts of it.
You can read the forum and some adverts but you cannot post in the forum or access the chat rooms.
In order to do the above, new members will need to upgrade to premium membership see here http://www.swingingheaven.co.uk/help-centre/article.html?id=42 but if you have a free account, which you do have hottoyboy as it was created in Aug 2004, before the site was bought over, then you can access everything with that account.
If you want to make it a couples account then I can do that for you, if you can prove to me that you are indeed a couple, ie the two of you on cam.
The site normally charges a fee of about £6 for this service but as a goodwill gesture,I can do it for you.
The only thing that you would need to pay for tho would be a name change if you required that, but if I were you I wouldn't bother .
Hope this helps to make it clear for you.
regards

Us mods are here to advise and if it saves some money why not eh? :-)
Admin would probably suggest the same thing. But if he wants to upgrade to Xtras so both can use the chatroom at the same time wink
In Edit: Just to calrify: Mods and Chat Ops can change an account status - this is not done willy nilly, decisions are made on evidence provided. It isn't to be abused because you may know a Mod or Op and have your profile status changed every other week.
