No NOT erection.
I am told that on monday all the cardinals under a certain age will meet in Rome to elect a new Pope.
What a boring way to choose a new world leader!!
I propose that all the said Cardinals meet at Aintree and do a circuit of the Grand National course over the fences carrying a nun piggyback. The ultimate winner becomes Pope.
I really think this has some advantages - commercial sponsorship, television rights, the ability to place a bet at the bookies etc.

This was meant as a joke FFS and is not against Catholics or anybody else. What about Dave Allen? Was he funny or not. What about any satirical fun being poked at any particular group? Calista mentioned Father Ted - was that funny or not or was it poking fun at a "minority" group?
I offered this to the site having spend a good evening in an Irish bar, speaking to Irish, Spanish, Dutch and French people and having a good laugh about this subject and they are Catholics.

This could have been somebody giving me a wind up.........but I am sure somebody would be able to research this and find out if it was true. Me, I prefer to be ignorant and just let it roll because I found it incredible and funny so never tried to disprove it.
I was once told that there was a female pope sometime ago. She had dressed as a man all her life. They never found out until she died. To stop this happening again, the new pope is carried into office above a floor covering made of glass where some of the cardinals look up under his robes and check if he has some meat and two veg.
I have no idea if this is true but I found the story funny..................and I could have fallen foul of a prankster as well.
