It would be helpful if you could suggest what you would find 'loads better'!
For instance... I HATE sugar in my porridge and someone suggested that by adding salt instead it would make it 'loads better'. Actually adding salt made it more horrible and I settled for chopping a banana in it. So, the other persons' 'loads better' was my 'eeeeeeeeuuuuuuuuuuuuugggggggghhhhhhhhh.
Outline the problem and suggest a solution please.
I cant see whats wrong with it, looks simpler to me dunno xj
I like the layout of the new search & hope the Distance facility is up & running soon.
What I do find a bit iffy is the newest members search mad if your a single person or couple who have just joined & are finding there feet so to speak you could end up with a mail box full of well wishing invites or a box full of pushy people wanting to play with the new people both which can be a bit off puting.
i think i have mentioned on a previous thread but i dont find the names much help unless you get the correct spelling with the dash's and numbers right
I like it, biggrin but without the distance facility up and running you find yourself trawling through loads of profiles looking for people within traveling distance.

100% with that.
I did think adding maybe a search facility with added routefinder and intoduction paragraph aligned with a wink and a auto send from interflora or hotel chocolate would be useful. Maybe even a local hotels suitable for swinging.
Come on Swinging heaven Admin what do you think your doing come on get your act together please
wink lol
I have just popped into search, far better now.
Waiting for even more improvement.
Is it just me or would it be a good idea if you could search on what people are looking for?
You know the sort of thing, bi couple, straight male, pink elephant, that sort of thing.
You could on the old search. With this you have to trawl through a load of profiles to find people looking for somebody like you. :jagsatwork:

It's not good IMO.
Is it me, or is the only added functionality the list by login/ join date etc? Which is very useful, as before the results would mean trawling through pages of ancient profiles (well, I say pages, most times I couldn't go to the next page in the results for some reason).
The layout might or might not be better, that's subjective (though again, IMO it's not good). But to introduce one useful feature and break another, possibly more useful one seems silly.
And what it has always lacked and still lacks is the ability to search by what someone is looking for. Eg, in my case I'm a single male looking for a single female. So long as said female has an interest in male dangly bits I don't care if they're straight, bi or meandering in the realms of uncertainty. But it appears I'd have to search three categories and look at lots of results simply to find out if said straight, bi or unsure female is looking for wobbly man parts. So what's needed is a "looking for a ..." selection with a "who are seeking a ..." next to it. That way the searcher can get results of searchees that should have at least some relevance rather than waste time clicking through a myriad of utterly pointless results.
Just my IMO, back to lurking!

Is it just me, or should I put a tinfoil hat on, and stop being distracted by the chat room and other netness in the middle of making a post!
I don't see the difference except for the layout.
I don't see why you can't search for each thing listed in the profile, if I'm looking for a single guy, the search facility comes back with a huge long list but once you start looking at them, most aren't single (unfortunately there isn't a lying through their teeth section either biggrin )also a 'what they're looking for' bit would be handy, as Shambolic says. Other things like preference for smokers/non smokers, drinkers/non drinkers etc. This may seem picky to some but if it's important to you, and you've bothered to put it on your profile you should be able to search for it. The only thing I see on there that's not important is the membership type. Also the 'newest member' bit, why not include 'last online'? The 'distance from' bit was always a bit hit and miss anyway but handy to have some idea of where they are would be good.
Is there a likely hood that the search facility will be changed or are we just doing some wishful thinking here?

Clearly it isn't working properly as yet as entering an interest produces no result. Distance search is essential as is joining up the data in the databases.....
