Can anyone help please.
I am having real problems with the new site. I can log in and it takes about 5 minutes to bring each page up, whether it is the forum pages or just browsing the site. I have tried clearing temporary internet files etc but still taking forever to load pages. Getting a little frustrated now as cant access the forum pages as taking too long to bring the pages up :-(
Hi there. Thanks for the advice. On the homepage was a question of you are having problems with the new site to click on it and give details etc, i have done this. How do i put in a support ticket? Not sure where to find this. Glad it's not only me that can't access the site properly either!

We have been monitoring ALL problems that have been reported and have been making changes and fixes where required.
AOL users are having some issues as AOL only updates its cache every 3 or 4 days, this means that you get a mixed bag of old and new bits when trying to use the site.
As for very slow loading pages this one is an odd problem and is effecting only a very small amount of users. It is definately something on the PC, we just need to identify it to resolve the problem. Could be some kind of add blocker, tool bar, or a certain build configuration. We run a slow query log on the server so we can identify issues site side and there is nothing in there that would cause these problems. In fact a lot of users have commented that the site has never been so fast???
As stated here people on seperate PCS on the same connection might have a very fast one and a very slow one. We will write to everyone who has a slow load configuration until we can find out exactly what is causing it. This will take top priority in the office until the problem is identified.
The more information you can provide us with the better such as browser and version, operating system, anti virus software, what version of flash etc also demographic location and broadband provider.
I would pop a support ticket in and then it is in the list of to do stuff tomorrow - there are heaps more folk that don't read the forum... so get your problem in the queue that way too would be my advice!
I know that the whole team have been sorting stuff as quick as is humanely possible. For such a big site (and with no techie knowledge whatsoever!) I reckon it seems to have gone okay.
Its very difficult to use on my mobile phone very complicated unlike the old version :sad: xxxx
When I log on I get to the front page. I click on FORUM (cos that is where I want to get to funnily enough) and I end up on my Homepage. Why?
If I wanted to get to my homepage I would click on HOMEPAGE.
I end up having to click on Forum twice just to get there.
Is this a fault or is the site designed this way for some reason?
Agree - The new site seems to require more clicks to navigate and it is not always rational in terms of menu flow... less is sometime more!
As an example, how do I make a photo my 'key' photo that appears in lists? Why do TABS disappear when you click on one of them?
I use FireFox or Safari on a Mac - Chatroom Flash fails everytime... good bye chatroom!
