Hi,
Does not look like anyone else is going to add to this thread so let me be the first.
Whilst it may be a good idea to bring naturism into the public eye a little I have to say that I think the idea is absolutely appalling.
The general public see naturism as something of a joke thanks to the 'dirty postcard' mentality and the likes of the tabloids, 'The Sun'in particular for maintaining it and usually making an all too frequently incorrect connection that naturism equates with naked orgies and such carrying on.
If this pilot goes ahaed which I hope it won't it will be interesting to see just how much skin will be shown. Its hardly going to work if you are only allowed to see a head and shoulders or the occasional bum. That is not what naturism is all about. One thing is sure that they will not convey the true spirit of what naturism stands for. The freedom of not being hindered by clothes and the opportunity to bring up a family within the safety of the naturist umbrella and have no hang-ups about the way they look.
I suppose that I have painted something of a rose-tinted picture of naturism. Well, there is another side as well. Yes, we have played with several other couples whilst staying at a naturist site over the years. It does go on but is always done with discretion. Nudity and naturism is far more widely accepted in Europe and long may it be so. I'm sure its being held back here by the British 'stiff upper lip' and all that.
We may be a bit different in shap but we really are all the same.
GO ON, make a stand this summer and experience the joy of naturism.
Jed, I'd be interested on your take on this.

"Absolutely Appaling"?..... Blimey its only a TV comedy show ......
I am sure anyone with half a brain will realise that its just a bit of fun and not a true portrayal of the world of naturists..
I am sure we all know that scrap metal dealers are not really like Steptoe & son..
I am going to be in this program, filming on thursday 26th and friday 27th.. I will report back on exactly what its all about after I have done the job.
Do I take it that you are not a naturist then?
The "taking it as a bit of fun" is the very reason that I would be against this programme.
The general public (textiles) see naturism as something connected with sex, orgies etc,
or they will laugh about it with 'dirty postcard mentality'.
It might bring it into the public eye but I don't think for one moment that the slightest bit of thought will be given to what naturism is really about. It wouldn't get any laughs. Its likely to be just another 'made to entertain and titilate (if you're lucky) piece of tv fodder.
